No idea, I did mine myself, think Chris (McLovin') bought one of these kits..? Will

Riley, if you use eccentric bushes for you rear suspension to adjust your camber, it will change the toe at the same time. I would suggest you use a kit (as Mike suggests) that allows camber and toe to be adjusted independantly. I discovered this when I was working at getting rid of the major negative camber I had in my vert after fitting lowering springs, so compensated what I was doing to keep the toe right and bring the negative camber to an acceptable amount. You need to be really careful when considering a head swap as the various motors have different piston crowns which will only work with a specific head. Will

You are likely to have a small port head on the 325e motor so I don't know how much benefit you will get from changing the manifold/TB/afm, best check what inlet port size you have first. Bolting a large port manifold onto a small port head will just cause flow problems and you might end up worse off than with the standard manifold etc. This conversion is normally done as a complete head/intake manifold/TB/AFM/exh manifold swap for it to work efficiently. The 325e motor should be better than the 320 motor from a power perspective and also will be far more fuel efficient. Not a swap I would consider. The 323 motor will be a better swap for the 325e motor, but it will also have less power than the 325e motor but will rev quicker and be more responsive than the 325e motor. Again I think I would stick with the 325e motor and put my funds towards a complete head swap or a 325i motor complete. The 325e probably has a 'long' diff, check what ratio it has and then possibly swap it for a 'shorter' ratio, this will give you a lot more get up and go from pulloff and while cruising, but don't make a radical change to the ratio though or you will just ruin the cruising and fuel economy. Like bedding in brake pads, do not abuse it for the first short while, 500ks sounds ok. That includes slipping the clutch, (including not using handbrake to hold on hills), doing donuts etc. If you do, you will probably glaze it (or worse) and end up with problems like shudder. Will

I have a flex plate with the trigger lug on it. I may be coming to Akl on thursday from Kerikeri, going to the airport and flying out, but not definite yet. Otherwise there is NZ Post. Probably cost about $20 to post? Will

What glue does one use to stick the rear view mirror back onto the windscreen? Superglue? Does not use double sided tape, is some sort of clear glue. Managed to knock mine off.. Will

My list would certainly challenge yours Glenn.. include all types of military hardware, heavy construction equipment etc etc.. I thought a Z4 was a girl's car??? Maybe he/it squats to pee...

Yes those will fit. As you say, alley has to be spotless before you can weld it successfully, I normally grind the crack open with a dremel tool to remove all traces of oil and then take it to be welded. Will -
Yes, there is a small globe that is attached to the gear lever to show you what gear you have selected, see pic..

Gus, you continue to impress me... here I was thinking all this time that you only knew FT... Will

now I'm confused (senility strikes!).. Glenn, I sincerely hope that by 'rare' you don't mean 'rear' because we were going on about the 'rare rear' and the 'rear rare' etc because if you did it means that your 'rare' means 'rear' as in 'rear gunner' ???? Whaaaaatttt!!!!!

Did they see the bit where Alley takes a nose-dive into the sand pushing me out?? (Could've done with X-power there..)

Sounds far too loose, why don't you replace it while you are at it? A decent belt will cost no more than $75 I think.. go to Euro-Italian, he keeps that type of stuff. A new tensioner should be considered also especially if the bearing is noisy! If you want to just tension it, firstly turn the engine over at the crank pulley with a spanner a couple of turns (to make sure the belt has tension on the correct (passenger) side), then loosten the two bolts that hold on the tensioner (one is the pivot bolt, the other is for the adjustment lock). The tensioner is spring loaded and should tension the belt up to the correct tension, DO NOT OVER-TENSION THE BELT by trying to manually help the tensioner! Re-tighten the bolts, rotate the motor over a few times again and check the belt tension on the passenger side (where it goes directly from the cam pulley to the crank pulley) by twisting the belt with your thumb and forefinger, I make sure you can twist it about 80-90 deg at the midpoint, if you can twist it more than 90, retension it, if you cant get it to 80 deg, it is likely too tight so relax it a bit and re-test. If you are not sure about anything just yell and I will try to explain it more clearly. Will edit.. there is an electronic e30 Hayes manual somewhere around here on BS, I just can't find it right now.. best I can find is HERE

I would remove the base of the rear seat, remove the cover above the tank that is under the seat, and check that you dont have a leak as a result of that tank damage. I bought a car a while ago that had similar damage to the tank, I then went and filled the car up and had fuel pouring out everywhere. The dent underneath had pushed hard against the fuel pump assembly and forced it upwards where it stuffed the seal at the top of the tank by buckling it badly. Also damaged the plastic filter at the base of the pickup/pump assembly. I had to remove the fuel pump assembly and attack it with a bit of timber to push the bottom down so i could get the whole pump assembly to seal at the top of the tank again. Will

Why???? For wanting a set of rare wheels on all my cars???? That's not a sham, or even a shame, it is necessary!!!
