  1. Not true, but they have to buy A ballot for the right to own a vehicle which is about US $40K, only a few thousand new people each year get the right to buy a first car. Domestic cars have to be under 7 years old and commercial under 5. But the car prices are pretty close to nz prices. The public transport is so good most don't bother owning, or a family has a single car, As in all living generations share one.Well that was the state of it when i lived there 8 or so years ago anyway.
  2. I'll be following this with great interest.
  3. This thing the other day at Tower Junction, delightful
  4. I have never found the e46 shape appealing... or the e39 for that matter, but at least the latter has an epic engine
  5. I'm not planning on destroying it for a giggle, that's what my Mitsubishi's were for.
  6. If the only reason I was buying it was for track thrashing, absolutely, 100%, however, I want to make bad decisions on back roads also.
  7. Wide body will be fine, I'll use a wing like this ti balance it out
  8. The Raw Numbers suggest this car has marginally better power to weight than an E39 M5, shorter wheel base must make for some 'interesting' handling characteristics though. Interesting good... First order of business if I pick it up is to swap out the paltry 17x7.5's for ??x9 on the rear me thinks, wide body kit anyone?
  9. Listed Friday http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=871776619 I'm assuming this would be absent the very helpful 'anti pants shitting' feature also known as Traction Control. Adjustable's probably don't give as smooth of a ride as BMW shocks either. Whats the general consensus on value for money here? for another 4K you could have an E39 M5...
  10. What the crap is a "1M" http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=gwh549
  11. I ah... i don't even know what to say...
  12. Mr Fiat, I'm almost certain of three things.1). Your post comes across as needlessly aggressive and inflammatory. 2). Any one smart enough to hide there real income isn't dumb enough to spout about it online. 3). The elite wealthy who remain so are either very f**king intelligent or they pay intelligent people to manage their wealth for them.
  13. Will throw up a TM discussion thread later
  14. Probably not buying it, really fricking gutted
  15. The trees make that look like VW polo
  16. Spotted this one in Sockburn, Love the old 3's, and this one does it for me.
  17. Speaking as someone who use to work for corrections, those who can't or won't pay, get a pretty sweet deal, one guy I recall had 40k of fines turned into 150 hrs of community service. Pretty sweet hourly rate if you ask me
  18. Some goodness from PWC & Steve Murch
  19. As a one time boy racer who thrashed a few people with a stock looking Mitsi Libero, I appreciate this on many levels.
  20. Wonder how this would go down in NZ. http://www.jwz.org/blog/2015/03/speeding-millionaire-gets-54000-euro-fine/
  21. Need to make room in the drive way for something much more exciting. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=853831178
  22. Took the CHCH one for a spin, wow... my 540iS was fun... but this thing is next level. Pulled the trigger on the E39 M5 AKL.
  23. For those following this, in the end I decided the answer was M5
