Like instead of calling the AA when you lose your car keys, try the old ko-tanga trick!

I once had a car with a lean. The problem wasn't mechanical or factory orientated. It was caused by a fat-ass previous owner. Check for shock wear as well. There is bit of damage a 150kg + momma can do to a car. Edit: grammar

If listing on TM, maybe start the auction price low but keep your reserve highish to see if there are any bids. This may allow you to see how much people are willing to bid. Another thought... Keep it clean and park it somewhere prominant with a "For Sale" sign in the window. A mate of mine tried to sell his Subaru on Trademe for 3 months without any bites. After having a For Sale sign in the window for a week, he sold it to a chick who saw it parked at Pak'n'Save and loved it!

With a car like this, its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. Similar cars have been sitting around a long time around the $3k mark. If you want a quick(ish) sale, I would agree with 320guy that you should list it for $1.5-2k. At the end of the day, what do YOU think it is worth? If you didn't own it and saw it parked up on the street for a for sale sign in the window - how much would you want to pay?

As title says, I'm selling my beloved 1999 Ford Mondeo GLX 2.0 Automatic Sedan travelled 110,000kms. I bought the car in November last year as something that would tide me over. It had one prior owner who were an elderly farming couple from Southland who used it as their "town car". It has full service history and drives very very well. Also has a new warrant. The car is pretty much standard apart from a new Pioneer CD player. It is steel blue with charcoal cloth. The GLX featured leather wrapped steering wheel, ABS brakes, remote locking and air/con (over and above the 'poverty pack' LX). This car was also ordered with factory Sport Pack which included a nice boot spoiler and tasteful 15" alloys. I know most of you won't be interested in a Mondeo - but it is a very good car. Think of it as E46 era at an E30 price! (Some UK car mags even included the Mondeo and E46 in the same comparison tests - crazy I know!). A great runabout as it is very cheap to run, and being NZ new and not too old it should be very reliable. I was looking for an E30 when I bought this, but as a run about the Mondeo made so much more sense in terms of cost of ownership. Asking price - $4,500 or near offer. Apologies for the crap photo. I have some more, but can't find the camera cord. PM me and I will eventually send them through to you. EDIT: Spelling and grammar!

Good buy. Had my eye on that one for a while. Black, V8, NZ and facelift - what a combo to have in an E39.

WTB Pair of kidney grilles for a pre facelift 1996 e36 328i coupe. Would ideally like a set of the wider facelift style ones. I have seen the ones on trademe, but don't like the chromes spokes inside the kidney. Car currently has black kidneys, which if you are interested I could swap with you. Let me know what you have...

I don't buy the "international company" stuff. Registered office is a residential address in Dunedin. The parent company is the same. Looks a tad strange to me. Search WARRANTYDIRECT LIMITED on the Companies Office website...

I would be cautious of an unknown company. If they are underwritten by one of the biggies, thats OK. Worth paying a little bit more for an Autosure, Protecta or AA warranty. Much more likely to be around when it comes time to claim on your policy!

Wow, a $130k rebuild! Hope he can recover most of it

Yeah, some more detailed pics of the wee lass on the right of that pic would do fine!
-
Edit: grammar. My little bit of useless general knowledge.

Got this as a forward from a good mate the other day. Had to laugh!

What sort of photos does it come pre loaded with big guy?

Where have you been parking your car lately? Have you had a good look for a bomb?
-
Trademe Not sure if LHD is allowed though? Kinda cool, euro touring car style...
-
Far out, a bigger body and smaller engine than a 525i? What sort of power house were you driving? An E200? S280?
-
No pics there, partner.

Don't know about you, but if I had a V8 BMW in the garage, I couldn't handle driving an old $500 shitter for the sake of saving a few bucks! -
I wonder why...

Last time I checked, this was a discussion forum. Opinions tend to go hand in hand with discussions. Why is everyone so god damned sensitive? I will be continuing to voice my opinion in the way I have always done. If you don't like it, maybe you should stay away from a discussion forum.

Great, thanks. I take it OEM lights will be considerably more expensive? Have just bought a 96 328i coupe in black with M3 alloys, mirrors, lip and diffuser. A clear light kit would make it look spot on!

Thanks for that. I spotted these ones also. Has anyone had experience with these lights? Is the quality OK? Is install difficult?
