It is a nice car to drive and I dont want to sell it, you can do 180km/hour with no shaking or shimmering - she glides nicely. Being fussy myself I have spent time bringing her back to a new condition (reconditioned the leather, instrument cluster pixels, gaskets, sensors etc). The car does turn heads around Auckland with the wheels and the plate. If it wasnt for a new baby arriving I would be keeping this fantastic car!

what do you all think this is worth? (realistically) The lowest on Trademe I found is $8995 (1996) with other 1999 models (Jappers with TV, no service history etc) up to a silly $20,000.

Check for vacuum leaks, do a smoke test and see what happens
-
112,000 miles

ok, how about $16,000 before it goes on Trademe?
-
Trademe's average is $18,000. I would be happy with $18,000ish but open to offers

I have for sale a Brand new Widescreen TV Monitor for E39, E38 and X5. If you have a 4:3 screen this can be switched over in 15 minutes (and then coded with Digiplus etc) Screen is complete in wrapping/box and includes brackets, housing. This screen will show On Board Computer, SatNav (MK1 - MK5), TV, CD, Radio, Reversing camera etc. I also have a Black steering wheel with paddles etc and a E39 MID/Cassette player (both brand new) For the TV, follow this link for pictures: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP....cSELL.m315.lVI I am open to offers - TV is good for those doing a retrofit for TV etc or upgrading that nasty 4:3 screen.

Thanks Jochen - 1 last question: If you have a 1999 E39 with 4:3 display and the MK1 setup, what do you have to do to have MK4 with a 16:9 display? -

My turn: Jochen, I have a UK import with Widescreen SatNav / TRaffic Master and Motorolla bluetooth (MKIV). If I put a Nz DVD in the DVD slot - will that get me going on the NZ network? Secondly - will GSM Motorolla bluetooth work also if I put a sim card in? -
How much was the car?

How much is shipping from the UK? and how long do I have to wait?

I know there are new laws now with emissions, age etc .. What is the process and the costs involved with importing from the UK? Has anyone done it and how much? Is it worth it? Vehicle is a 1999/2000 with a M62 / TU 79,000mls

I need this car sold as I have bought another E39. All work has been carried out with genuine stuff in the last 3 months - complete coolant system / radiator, thermostat, water pump etc. Good fuel economy - 9L / 100km http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=136660664
-
Or you could buy this one - this one has everything OEM and all work usually needed on early E39's all done (radiator, expansion tank, clips/screws - all the britle stuff) I will service this with a new oil sensor before the new owner with a new WOF. $19,900 for anyone here: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=136660664

Work it out mate, why do you think from a selling point of view??? its kind of like those E36 316ers with M3 as a keyword ..why do people out there put a M5 badge on a 520i .. it could go on and on ... but anyway - more views the better right??
