  1. yours personnel or the cars haha!
  2. Have to agree the 530i is a bit flat looking. The 540 does stands out a lot better. Although with no PDC, old style tail lights, Query no angel eyes, electric curtain and what seats are fitted I'm a bit disappointing for that year as well. So $27,995 is a little steep for it in my opinion. Cheers Allan
  3. My 530i has the ambers indicator set up and it's 02 rego seems to depend on what model classification and other goodies it has on board. Had a little look at it hope you don't mind is this the vehicle 2001 525i chassis GX 93484, prod month 11/2001, M54 engine 91,000km. Just check to see what country it has come from. If Singapore electronic component can be a problem due to climate conditions. Check what warranties are on offer with it if it's from their. Cheers Allan
  4. What do you have as a spare then, is it not the same as the others you are trying to sell?

    Well I never

With all the talk about people texting and using a cellphone while behind the wheel I had to have a chuckle. On two separate incidents now have watched police officer's yakking on a cellphone while driving a police vehicle. One was at an intersection attempting to do a left hand turn, right shoulder was at a real funny angle. The other leaving a supermarket car park already talking on this cell. If these figures of society are doing this and not setting an example what chance is their of any thing ever changing. In both cases they had hand held phones. What is your opinion on this matter.
  7. 95 mill a month GST, that is 1,140 million a year on GST alone what would the tax take be then?. Surely if it all got spent on roading and not dumped in the main fund NZ would have a far better roading network. Payed $2.05 a ltr for 98 in Rolleston about a week ago when I went to Dunedin.
  8. E30-323ti Thank you very much for the explanation it makes for a lot more sense.
  9. MMM keen to know more about this project BUT all these SC, ITB's, PDSC etc abbreviation's make it hard to understand. Could you please explain what they stand for so one may understand what you are talking about it is as bad as reading a text message and look what happened over that issue. Thanks Allan
  10. Is that for a full set of five or only four. Also are they all fitted with Micheln tyres thanks. Allan
  11. That is some nice art work Glenn, do you sketch the outline first then fill in with the desired colour or just go for it. Rainy days well could be reading up on items concerning e39's DIY projects, what is for sale on ebay etc stuff like. Have been looking into the history of BMW as a car manufacturer and other aspects of the company very interesting read. Glenn if you don't mind what was the out come of your new sign project a while back? Cheers Allan
  12. No matter what your income is we all have only got so many options available to deal with this issue. Once these are exhausted and one is doing everything one can for his or her situation the price of the product still remains only in a hopefully more manageable state. I believe that the motoring public of this country are used by the government as a cash cow and being milked dry. This I could find a little more palatable if all their tax take was directed back into roading and environmental issues concerning automobiles which we were lead to believe would happen another con job. Plus now they wish to add even more to the petrol price in the name of better roads and breathable air. a bit of day cha vu, spelling their I'm sure A different note I know it was only a comparison but a VE commodore mmmm. Jeremy are you using imperial figures or U.S figures 1 imperial gallon = 8pints = 4.546ltrs 1 U.S gallon = 3.758ltr 98 0ctane $2.05 x 70ltrs = $143.50 95 Octane $1.89.9x 70ltrs = $132.93 91 Octane $1.82.9 don't us it last time I looked Only time will hold the answer on this one I feel
  13. It's a learning experience mate take your time. Make a list of all the things you want the car to have and work from that. You only need to ask and some one will assist you ends up saving you time, money and heart ache in the long run cheers and good luck searching, it's half the fun. Cheer Allan
  14. This is a personal thing it's up to you. When researching this myself I stuck with Hella the original manufacture of the lights for BMW and good quality but that comes at a price. You would have to see if they conform to NZ road laws, DOT, SAE, and any other standards required also are correct dip pattern, ballasts are of good quality etc. The tail lights would be the same no doubt. Personnel I shelved the idea, and would look at these items when I upgrade just my 2 cents Cheers Allan
  15. Hi found this via an American forum. http://www.ddmlights.com/mirrors1.html they have m style mirrors for e36, e46, e39 plus a selection of bumpers to. Cheers Allan
  16. 1. latest re-cycling idea 2. Anger management exercise 3. Plan stupid
  17. Be careful what you say their are eyes watching you on this Forum. It could prove to be your undoing.
  18. Hi Avenged.SSE, How deep are your pockets, checking this out myself and if you want Xenons find a chair and sit down. As Yeun has mentioned you will have to replace both headlights complete plus add two ballasts to ignite the gas in the Xenon bulbs, mounting brackets etc, fit the the anti -glare components. This compensates for the upward /downward movement of the vehicle to avoid dazzling on coming vehicles. Some will say this is not need they may be right up to you to choose but most if not all cars fitted with factory Xenons have it. Next depending on the year of the vehicle you have it may come up with a warning on the dash that your lights are faulty. This is the computer doing it's check of circuits and as their is less resistance with Xenon than the conventional bulb in the circuit up pops this warning it can be over come by a resistor unit being added to the circuit, . Simple to do but just one more item to be added does not occur on all vehicles. Also they will have to be for a right hand drive vehicle for the correct dip pattern. Oh one more thing was advised about get a headlight washer kit fitted the reason escapes me at the moment. You could fit a HID kit but check out the rules and regs on the Land Transport Safety web site first from memory they are illegal, others my prove me wrong on that or have bent the rules to suit , you will still have your amber indicators though, not what you wish I feel.If you want clears in the front you may wish to replace the rear tail lights also, you open up another can of worms with this as well. If you still wish to proceed the price I was given was $1990.00 US dollar plus freight from a crowd in Germany for the headlights and tail lights etc. The high pressure washer kit was about $350 US I think. Don't get me wrong it can be done but it is not a cheep exercise. If I may I would look at these items when you are about to buy. Hope this is of some help cheers Allan

    Fair enough

+1 Thank you Yuen . The point of this thread has been well thrashed out and the appropriate action taken by the administrator concerned let us move on to other items. Please can this thread be closed before it degrades into a slinging match and further tension is created. Cheers Allan.
  20. Looks nice on first view Yuen. Was surprised to see it only had cloth seats, no parking sensors, GPS to work, if it isn't already. Is that par for the course with the tourers and M sport line?, a bit steep price wish $33,000 with 85,000km's on the clock.

    Fair enough

Thank you for the update on this matter. The standard of grammar needs to be maintained I agree on that but taking it one step further some of the more technical terms that are used and then para phrased, believe that to be the correct term I still find a pain. Well done on taking this step we all will have to be vigilant in our posting from now on. Can the parties concerned rejoin the forum under certain conditions or is that it for them?. Allan

    Fair enough

    Scarey

Wooohhh!! Is that the latest parachute back pack design. Where is it? Each to their own I suppose, you like to work on cars they like riding in high places.
  25. Hello Deeveus $400 + labour for a sensor ouch!!. In regards to the total cost of the vehicle it is not much I suppose but $400 is $400 in any language, how many more are their on an E60 that fail. Have you looked into getting it yourself from another source or are you just wanting the problem solved quickly. Try this RealOEM.Com and put in the last seven characters of your chassis number, select the section you need and click on the picture it will bring up a selection of parts and part numbers,OH ignore the prices they are way out.. Then try other firms outside NZ and get a price see what you come up with best of luck. Cheers Allan
