Oh yeah! There's usually some second hand ones stuck to the upholstery anyway.
-
Damn. How will I afford lollies now?

I cook a lot of the time. Depends on whats happening. 4+ generally. I'll cook if it means avoiding other domestic duties, like washing and cleaning!

Buy another (working) door Sounds WAY easier!
-
Same guy that worked on the Blue Touran ;-).

For a minute, I thought you were talking about the new X7 in this thread:
-
I only have (nearly) half the power going through them... but mine is fed through all 4... so each of yours have to cope with 4 times the power... so they should really be 4x the price Tell "The Accountant" you're getting a bargain.
-
Can someone photoshop it pink??? Then it would look just like Peppa Pig, wearing wraparound sunglasses. Regarding the M-Sport kit... Peppa is too young for lipstick, but it might help.
-
Apparently Michelins are "buy one, get one half price" currently. Right @aja540i? It makes your pair about the same price as a SET of 5x RE003's for me

I can neither confirm nor deny....
-
Hahaha! I'll be down to repossess it this evening! It does drive nice though It'll be better with the clutch done and you can feed it some, without fear of the clutch Chernobyl-ing. Glad you like it! Let me know if anything in the boot confuses you.

She's GONE! Off to a good home though. I left her outside for the night... and it was a bit frosty - quick hose over and she was ready to go on her long journey to her new home.

Apparently, you can only use the MR16, with supporting documentation that the model is "wrong".... mine is "technically" correct, it just no longer applies. They won't let you change a bodyshells rego, when it was a 318i, but you've fitted M3 running gear, because that car WAS a 318i, and it still is... but it's been modified. We know this HAS happened in the past, but the cert process no longer allows changes, and niether does the NZTA, unless it's specifically an error..... like the VW Type 3 Variant, here in NZ, that is registered as a VW Valiant However... you can still register an import as pretty much anything you like! Pick a model from the existing list, and the submodel can be almost anything.
-
It's pretty stupid... you can register a car as just about anything when it's imported... like a bog standard 318i as a "318i M3" even, just put the badge on the back! or an S3-S, it seems.... ...but my modified Touran with the 3.2 VR6 fitted has 2.0 FSI TIP on the rego sticker, and it CANNOT be changed... unless possibly I imported it back into NZ... from NZ... They won't even let me remove the submodel, so it just says Touran, or even change it to "Trendline" which is the real submodel anyway ... so I have to stick to my current fix: and yes... the 20z look stupid.
-
Doh... can't help today then ? Hook it up to manifold vacuum on the car - just get a long hose ?
-
mmHg, or inHg? How air tight is the container, and do you need to build vacuum quickly, or does it just need to maintain the vacuum? How soon do you need something? I have quite a surprising collection of crap that I collect for nerd projects , and have an almost unlimited source of interesting goodies from old stuff at work.

No... that's not accurate. The car part of the bill was $6.3K. Another $6.3K will be spent on Danish plastic and assorted crafting goods for "the accountant", to balance it out... am I right? Total bill = $12.6K Haha! Lucky yours does better skids.
-
I can personally vouch that this car has NEVER been over the legal open road speed limit... ... in my driveway.
-
Come now. There is a lot worse than a Granvia! aja540i's sister hauled her tribe around in one for years! Imagine opting for the diesel Estima instead - timebomb on wheels - you never know which engine component is going to explode first. At least the 3.0 only has the head to worry about.
-
It *may* be sold already... I've worked out some initial details with a potential purchaser who will be first in line... Others can wait in line if they want though, just in case. Where I live interferes with logistics a little.

Better than electric!

Yep - that's the only immediate things I can think of. new wiper blades wouldn't hurt either. Other fabrics inside are coming loose, like on the pillars and rear tray - thay all have to come out anyway for the roof, so you could do it all in faux fur at the same time ? The leather isn't bad, though not like new obviously! Spacers are fitted on the strut mounts only. Fronts are a 10mm alloy ring, with allen head bolts holding the strut mount to the underside. they extend up through the tower and are bolted to a strut brace on the top side - the E39 strut towers mushroom, so the strut mount stops it hapening again. Rears are "rough road" strut mounts, with longer studs on, and a nylon spacer plate is fitted between that and the body - same idea as the "rough road" suspension, but it's still fairly low! All the pixel displays were reaired too, but one cluster backlight has blown (I have a spare) and one MID buld is blown (harder to fix, as they're on a board, but are just bulbs). Cluster has silver rings too

No, you couldn't have ? hahaha! I had "specific" requirements
