  1. Chinese seller on eBay. Even came with a clever little tool for removing the filter. I did all 12 previously on the 8er so I've got pertty quick. Took me 15-20 minutes to do six. The kit has enough for 4 more injectors which you're welcome to but guessing you need two more sets!
  2. Replaced the injector seals and filters ready for cleaning and testing.
  3. Exactly! Though we're some way off that!! Haha
  4. The heavier, underpowered M50b20 means we're not going to be quite as quick around the track as we'd anticipated but we never entertained the thought of winning. At least the iron block means the car is nice on low on its factory sport suspension!!
  5. I didn't but I'm sure you could. My wife met the editor at a Holden event and told her about my car. The photographer said he often leaves a business card on the windscreen of 'interesting' cars. I think they get most subjects by way of referral.
  6. Enjoy! http://www.driven.co.nz/news/lifestyle/me-and-my-car-jooles-clements-and-his-v12-bmw
  7. We've handed over the spares to Brent in return for his assistance. If there's not one in our heap, he'll have another for sure!
  8. Looks like we scored ourselves an underpowered 323i as the engine appears to be a b20 not a b25. Must have had a budget transplant. On the bright side, we may have found a wrecked manual parts car.
  9. Haven't purchased them yet. Would love the 9x9.5 staggered on the 8er but not a priority if I can't make a useable set of 8x8s for the wagon.
  10. I didn't even notice the flares. They're quite subtle! Imagine that would cost a small fortune though and probably not available for a wagon. I don't think I could justify for my work hack.
  11. They fit well... And are completely different wheels. Erm?
  12. Hmmnn. That's the sort of impractical, stancey-sh*te I'm trying to avoid! haha
  13. Found a reasonable set of m pars from an e38 and had the idea of making a set of 8"s for the wagon and staggered 9/9.5s for the 8er. Sadly offset is a touch aggressive for the wagon. Shame, because they'd look awesome!! Could probably make it work with camber and smaller tyres but then becomes expensive and possibly a bit too 'stance' for me. Springs haven't settled in pic so it's lower than it looks.
  14. Correct. Needed a wagon for work/dogs and got a great deal on a 328i wagon. Had no problems shifting the E30. First viewer took it!
  15. Just click on the time stamp for the last post is easiest.
  16. I get the strong impression you have never worked with a team of volunteers though, Dave. You've only got a soapbox because those guys keep it up and running in their own time and without any remuneration. Yes, they may not please everyone all the time but they want to make it work as well as they can for everyone and as such, are open to feedback, but you can present your feedback with a bit more consideration, I'm sure! Now I'll get off my soapbox. PS Change is good.
  17. The central locking will work if you use the key, even if the driver's door actuator is broken. However, if any of the other locks don't respond to the key or remote, then the actuators are faulty. I understood from your original post that you could get all the locks to function correctly from the unlock button in the car. This would suggest that the actuators are working but something else is wrong. If it is actuators, they're not as hard to replace as it looks - just a bit fiddly - I've just done driver's door and rear passenger on my e36 wagon.
  18. Replaced the actuators and everything works. Driver's side was easy, rear passenger door a bit of a PITA to get at but whole thing took no more than 1.5 hours and remote central locking now works perfectly. Sweet.
  19. If the actuator was faulty the lock would only be manually operable. Probably GM.
  20. As always, Ray and HellBM are awesome. Viscous fan clutch gave up on my E36 and in so doing cracked the water pump. Happened on my way to work and I had just enough coolant (before it leaked away) to drop it at my regular mechanic in Kingsland. Ray had a replacement fan clutch there in a day. Much appreciated. Just wish it happened nearer home so I could have fixed it myself!
  21. Its value lies with true 850 enthusiasts, of which there are few in a small population like NZ. I think your pricing is really fair (bordering on cheap) and would pounce on this if I could afford it as I'm one of those enthusiasts. But the combination of 850 enthusiasm and a ready $48K is going to be hard to find here. I hope it stays in NZ but expect you'll have more success overseas.
  22. Thanks Mike. Upon further investigation the rear door is actually NOT working with the rest of the central locking when I use the key so I'm thinking it probably is the actuators after all. I'm guessing the driver's side is working with the central locking because the actuator isn't connecting to the rest of the system when the key is used. But of course won't work with the remote. They're pretty cheap so I'll try that first but will definitely take you up on your offer of help if that doesn't work!
