I will give Kayne a call and ask him. He can let me know what was done to the diff also. Right so had a chat. Not a direct bolt up for an E30 sorry. Had to check as I have never really had a look at it. The LSD unit has had a 45/30 ramp set with 4 plates done. You would need to swap the guts out and into an E30 housing. 4.1 is perfect for an E30. Really gets much better accel. But it will cost to swap it all over unless you are capable of doing it yourself. I would recommend having it done by Kayne.

I have a 4.1 Medium built by Kayne Barrie in my race car that is being swapped out for a large case. The diff has been fully rebuilt and has been slightly ramped up making it lock up much better than stock. Though I would want $500 and your diff. Over $1200 has been spent on it and has done very little KM's since the build.

I would call Kayne Barrie if you really want to know if the diff will work for you.

You don't need to do both. Subframe bushes are a real pain in the ass. If you can buy a spare subframe and replace its mounts so you can just swap out the subframe I would recommend doing so.

Diff cover to suite Medium Case E30 Diff. Has a brand new unused urethane mount already pressed into it. Cover has one chipped fin which will make no difference. Or you can put the urethane mount in your own cover. $50 Note: Chipped fin is the far right hand side one. Small one.

Standard 2nd gen M20 Rocker Cover. Perfect if you want a spare to paint or have the older style plain looking one. $35

Yip I learned an important lesson about fitness when doing the 6 hour endurance race with with James in his S52 powered E30. We were rushing to get onto the grid (I pretended I was meant to be starting from pit lane and drove up after the race had started a few seconds before). So I didn't get to set up my water. I lost so much fluid it wasn't funny. Heat and effort was brutal. The car had a few issues so I was lucky to get a drink at those times. I have so much respect for Enduro drivers now. More so than any other drivers. I won't attempt it again unless I am super fit. If the car had made the 3 hours for my stint I think I would need to have been pulled from the car.

Only glass left is the front and rear screen. Will ditch the rear screen eventually. Though I am adding weight soon with all the turbo gear and going back to the large case diff. I might get the bonnet and boot fiber glassed too. I actually didn't believe it was only that weight till I drove it onto the scales. What does the Megane weigh?

My E34 535i only weighs 1280kgs wet. I would think it would lose another 150kg's if it was dipped.

As long as they were fitted correctly and the right color. Maybe he means all the people who have Red ones at the moment. Seen quite a few people driving around with just their Red Rice Rings on at night. In a car park at a meet okay. But at night on the road.....

Is there really any difference between aftermarket rice rings and factory rice rings? They would just be considered driving lights wouldn't they.

By the time it is up for sale it will be stuffed. Just like a boat engine you need to drain and clean everything the same day it is submerged.

Interesting. The Mrs just had this exact problem a week ago. Got the run around from both DHL and NZ Post. Eventually the package just arrived with no update to the tracking ticket at all. It was around 10 working days late. Best to try and use one service door to door. Can cost you an arm and a leg though.

If you are on a work visa or the likes you need to pay in full up front. It its around 4x more expenisve. For a 1980's heap of crap Mazda they wanted 1000 quid up front. The car needs to have an MOT before you can get insurance. It is illegal to drive without either. It is usually why cars are so cheap there.

Glad you are getting somewhere with this. I was towed from my workplace (Vodafone) many years ago by some twat who had no authority to request a vehicle towed. He didn't recognize my new car. The car was towed in reverse and they badly damaged the front bumper and curbed a wheel. Same issues with the towing company. They were impossible to deal with. They don't require customer service whatsoever. Vodafone reimbursed me for all damages and the towing fee in the end. But it took me a long time to track down who had requested it in the first place. It took him bragging about mistakenly having a car towed to a co-worker months later. I did plot revenge but I think he knew it was coming and left shortly after.

Didn't realise the US version doesn't have floating rotors and different axles and diff. Really isn't an M3 at all is it. They just slapped an M3 badge on the back of a 330i Motorsport.

370 off the E30 and the 385 off the E34? I sold a 370 just the other day for less than $200. And there was also a couple of others offered. Post in the wanted area. I can move this post if you like.
