got another box of goodies from Turner motorsport, looks like i will be doing spark plugs in the M5 all weekend!

Yeah, until the end of August I think. There Is probably more rubber In my 2 rear tyres than your set of 5 though!

people don't seem to comprehend what "fully loaded" means, watched a you tube review of an i3, first paragraph "this car is fully loaded" one paragraph later "this is the base model with no range extender" can they not hear what they are saying? does it mean different things in different countries? Have i got it wrong? ?

you can almost see the BMW bit!
-
Nah, It doesnt have enough M badges. (Yet)

I think the more important question is if you are aware they are low quality and have doubts about whether they would get a cert, why the hell would you want to drive around on them?

It is possibly the battery it left the factory with and is due for replacing, 10 years is a good run, and about how long mine lasted.

They had time to program the bloody thing to go away!!

When BMW were writing the sofware for the M5, some dickhead decided that every time a warning comes up on the screen it should be the only thing on the screen, so the time disappears. ABS fault = no clock, low washer fluid = no clock, fuel reserve = no clock, have I got time to stop and fill up on my way to work? Dunno, the f@% king clock has disappeared!! There is plenty of room on the screen for the clock as well, but no. Thanks dickhead!

Its a self contained scanner, with BMW specific software, also does Mini and Rolls Royce! Reads and clears fault codes, resets adaptations, activates components, service light resets etc etc.

got to test my new scanner today, Foxwell NT520 Pro, seems to have a lot of functionality for the price, including but not limited to opening the rear glass hatch so i can replace the switch!

It's ALIVE!! Picked up this afternoon, just in time to run it in before the fuel tax hits! Total bill was about $6.3K, that included a Turner motorsports power pulley kit, a power steering hose that had shat itself, a new belt tensioner, and a bit of extra labour un-siezing the lower control arm bolts so the wheel alignment could be done! Haven't taken it for a decent run yet, but will bring it to the meet on Sunday. Also discovered it needs a new pair of rear tyres, decent cut on the inner shoulder of one. Will have to put it back on a dyno after running in and see what (if any) difference the pulley makes.
