  1. l am after the square panel about 200mm by 200mm that is located by the interior light in an e34. For reference mine is an e34 535i 1988 and has electronic sunroof. colour and condition not important, will get recovered. Cheers Oli

  5. I have some moulds available for e30 coupe doors and i would like to do a run of glass and carbon kevlar doors. To make it worth doing i need to do 10 pairs so anyone interested should get in touch, these will be perfect for the 2lt class e30s as well as any other e30 race car that isnt restriced by class rules. The doors are extremely high quality, utilising nomex honeycome internal structure, high quality epoxy resin and post under vacuum, these will be stronger than the factory door offering better protection and structural rigidity to your car whilst remaining substantialy lighter than the factory door. The carbon kevlar option is made the same way and uses a carbon uni reinforcment offering incredible strength and substatial weight savings. These doors will come with all the attachments to fit hinges, handles etc and expected weight is around 4-5kg per door. These doors are of the same construction and quality of components of very high end race cars such as the toyota racing series and v8 supercars. And are built with absolute precision to ensure the door fits perfectly and do not need a great deal of adjustment to work like many of the cheap sglass options around at the moment. Prices are $900 plus gst for the glass doors and $1250 plus gst for the carbon doors.   9. Borrowed it from a friend, not powered but the car is balanced enough that you can rotate it by yourself.. It's worth it's weight in gold.. And it's heavy...

For those of you who havent seen the bulid either in person or seen bits of it on facebook i thought i should start a thread up, the car is 80% finished now but i will back date the photos to create the desired effect. The car started out life as a 318i maual, facelift, sunroof coupe. Living in duneiden for the last several years it was brought up to wellington and ended up in my hands to start its life as a race car. Once in the workshop i wasted no time in stripping it down the bare shell.

  14. Quite the contrary andy.. Op, hold strut inner carefully with rag and multigrips, do not mark it..
  15. step one: aquire 9" grinder, step two: cut around boot lid with hole big enough for you to sit inside, step three:remove lock from inside, step for: replace cut out panel with sticky tape and cable ties
  16. the local paint shop here does it for about $8 inc gst.. or $20 for a can...

  18. Dont know anyone that has certed any e30 engine conversion, (m20, m50, m52 and others) to date, and most of them still get warrants, the ones that dont are dedicated race cars..
  19. Have done a motor out and back in in under 3 hours before.. No smoko breaks though..
