In regards to prop shaft, getting one thats too long cut and welded and balanced would also solve your problem, I understand its not to costly.

Self locking nut you should be able to pick up from any nut & bolt shop, their 50cents or something cheap.

Can I just add, this was one of the BETTER condition ones. Some of them were so corroded and gone you could hardly even make out the fact that it was a spark plug.

This plate is now on a Merc out west in avondale, he is the owner of a car dealership, performance euro or something, quite small, he owns a MINT e30 m3 also, Id get a plate. I wont pay $800 for one.

I find the haynes manual quite annoying becuase it covers such a broad range of e30's and does not give you specific information, but in saying that, the pages in the gearbox section in my haynes are falling out from over use lol, the rest of the book is in good nick haha.

Did re recently come into ownership? I once got quoted a HUGE amount just to cut an weld small pipe into my e30 exhaust on the account of it "Being a BMW exhaust" and that "their different to ""normal"" cars" end quotations. Just curious.
