they dont - ^ im at 100mm give or take a few mm's each way, on 17's I cant get my trolley jack under without first jacking up a bit, are you able to turn corners Diablo lol?
-
holly bejesus on my old car it cost $380 all up including new clutch plates to get mine done at a mechanic (this was before cars dawned on me) removing exhuast is a must do, those bolts a f**king annoying though so go easy on them dont want them to round off.
-
yes, yes they do very nice, looks good!
-
what do you want them to do? Simply remove the top two bolts? or do all the release bearing etc at the same time? Id say your looking at 2 - 3 (of mechanic labour probably would take less on your own average is $50ish per hour.) plus parts if you havent already got that,
-
sounds difish to me, although if the clunking is coming from underneath your gearstick it would probably be a gearbox problem, diffs are relatively easy to install you should be able to do it, and diffs can range anywhere from $100 to $350 I think,
-
yes, top two are a bitch, I simply loosend off my engine mounts, and jacked up the front of my engine, the weight transfers back and tips the gearbox down enough for you to reach the bolts, you'll need some extensions and maybe a U joint to get to them, but relatively easy,
-
first set in my opinion, and I strongly agree with Ollie, no bigger than 17"s, im on 17s and simply waiting for the dream 16x9 wheel to fall out of the sky
-
when building engines hands should not remain squeeky clean lol.
-
ah exact thing happend to me, except I got a we little angle grinder (tiny little disc) and turned them into flat head screws and used my impact driver to get them off, probably the only good idea ive ever had.
-
does it matter if I just unplug the plug attached to it? Engine not gonna go crazy?
-
welcome! thats something i havent seen before! nice conversion, the e28 is nice also, you'll love it here lots of good info and nice people! Enjoy! edit: you must have thrown some serious cash at the the car, you should post up some info etc!
-
do these really come with an Lsd?
-
looking good, you can never get carried away with photos, there should always be more I like the yellow as well, very unique.
-
just to add to that, my exhaust manifold had a leak and it ticked quite loudly, fixed that only to hear the 2nd tick of injectors lol.
-
Hi, there have been many topics on this, if you type in sr20 into search or rb20 it will come up with quite a few pages of different people who have done these swaps, their very helpful, Cheers. Alex.

mine tick, i've put it down to being 21 years old,
-
prepare yourself for the possibility of a new ABS unit.
-
so how come when u did get pulled over the cops let u pass? (outta curiousity) Any reason? or did they not check clearance?
-
i generally dont post in these super low topics, each to their own but thought this was good lol! I would assume not just at the mt for being a cop magnet, even I get pulled over on occasion and I wouldn't consider my car being super low,
-
mine was at the top of the door, where the rear quarter part of the window is, there is a divider between the two, at the top of that water was somehow making its way in through there, sorry I dont have a photo, but get someone else with a hose to hose the car and you sit inside, thats what I did, I cant remember about the bottom clip as the rust hole had taken care of the clip actually being there lol, good luck hope you find it!
-
my bad for bad info lol,
-
ah! I knew this photo would come in handy, rear footwell, you say?? I had the EXACT same problem as you, and could not find the problem, took off the plastic thing behind the rear door, and voila, have a look. Had it cut out and welded up and filled and sprayed with basecoat for $99. edit: the water enterd and followed the exact same stream as your photo , the previous owner had drilled a hole in the floor to deal with the problem lol! All sorted now and is as dry as a bone.. well as dry as an e30 can be, in saying all this, it may not be your problem at all, it may something different, perished seals perhaps? mine also had a minor leak at the top around the trimming, (black silicon fixed this)
-
shifter is loose because its an e30, and their sloppy, to fix this you would need to do the highly recommended short shift conversion using the z3 lever and swapping them as they fit,

Merry Christmas everyone! hope you all had a good day and are sleeping off ur headaches atm!
