  1. I Purchased a Air Compressor Vacume Bleeder, Tried this first on my 4WD in which i was really impressed and then on the E30V8 where it seems to have worked a charm. Must have Been a huge air buble that I could not pump through or something.
  2. Hmmm This sounds worth a Shot, I guess i do this often enough that it would be a usefull tool to own.

  5. Hello All I am having some huge issues bleeding the brakes on Rileys E30 V8 The rear brakes seem to get plenty of fluid through them, but no fluid through the fronts The master Cylinder was Rebuit and the whole system has been very much dry and full of air I have attempted the normal bleeding method to no sucess. What am I not doing correctly here ? as per title it is fitted with Golf Booster / Terrano Master Cylinder
  6. Daily Driver has to there and in one piece everyday. I doubt a 911 would be reasonable to maintain WRX will get stolen or smahsed into EVO yeah cool, but doesn't seem your style E36 m3 awesome do it But I think you would get bored after the V8 E39 540i/6 , Is everything a BMW should be and although not the fastest or the best handling would be more satisfying to hop into everyday and enjoy driving to where you need to be more so than the other options
  7. I bet I could Pull a few Cougars in that thing !
  8. http://www.vg30.com/images/oilpantop.jpg Did you consider Adding Wings on the sump to Bring a little extra oil capacity ? I have seen this done on a few cars where portions of the sump have been chopped out, some to add extra capacity some to simply return capacity back to stock
  9. Anything can be made to fit anything, W58 is a good gearbox but a lot of them need work vs importing a mint BMW direct fit gearbox Its pretty easy to spend $1000 sorting out an old toyota bo

  12. Sticky tires and an open diff does pretty well
  13. Sometimes you can smash a male torx bit in there and wind it out if you have to drill it out you can usually just drill just the head off and remove the rest of the threaded part with some good vice grips once the rotor is removed

  19. Last Night was the best night of my life, Clare and Myself are engaged and the Sparkly Diamond And Gold ring looks stunning on her finger ! I Live in Chch, and clare goes to Massey Universiry I flew into wellington yeasterday afternoon where one of clares close friends picked up from the airport while I went to be a nervous wreck at her flat. At this point clare thinks Im sitting at my desk at work. She has reponsibility for her halls of residence doing patrols and looking after residents ect, earlier in the week we rang her manager and got Him in on the whole plan and so clare got the night off without even knowing it. After I got ready I went to wait in a nice area of the Esplanade Park, while Anna was making sure Clare got really dessed up thinking they were going to a girls Night Shakespare play ! I had made a visit to clare last weekend so she was not expecting me for another 2 weeks. and certainly not expecting me to propose. Clare was a bit confused when she got dragged over to an empy part of the garden, where i walked out from behind a tree ( a shaking nervous wreck because of what I was about to ask ) I took her hands, said some very personall things got down on one knee and asker her to Marry me. And Of Course She said yes right away !! And the pictures from my Ninja Secret Photographers that were hiding in the bush's And yes its Take huge nuts to ask somebody this, most people on this forum wont understand untill it becomes their time to ask. As a Man who is madly in love with his fioncae I have no shame to say i cried a little of pure happines http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4752...mp;id=619452358 Ok guys the facebook photo thing is lame but if it works then meh

I wouldn't say no..... However would feel less obvious in a Yellow 911, playing rap music with the top down.
  21. Unless you were running a Nismo, Kaaz, Cusco or simialr , the factory Nissan R200 viscious LSD units aren't wonderful. and this brings you right back to a Clutch Type LSD which you could have rebuilt ? ie get the E30 one fixed. People run heaps of power through them, I don't see why it needs to be changed unless you have all the parts necessary to do the conversion already. Getting axles machined down and stuff to fit on diffierent Cv's could cost more than its worth to have a BMW unit built up properly. From what I understand of a Shimmed Viscous lSD unit ( OEM skyline, silvia ,300zx lsd diff ) is they are not very lasting in that adding extra shims can upset bearing reload and tooth contact ruining a good diff very quickly Using a BMW diff avoids many issues, 1)Getting cv's and axles machined 2)drive shaft and flange modifications 3) machine work spline ing and cutting axles on a lathe 4) buying the Nissan diff in the first place will cost money 4) if you already have a Nissan LSD does it need new bearings and a rebuild ? = more money to do it properly 5)certification costs could be $300 + ??? the befit I can see here would be using a complete nissan subframe and changing the rear end to multi link .
  22. Don't Worry Atta, I just wont build Rileys car back up untill you have sold mate
  23. they need to have hub-centric rings, be LVVTA certified and having something with some kind of quality standard ( ISO ###### ) would not be a bad idea there is probably a maximum thickness like 20mm or 25mm also, check this before you purchase them. http://www.lvvta.co.nz/
