Hey after a locksmith in CHCH who will cut BMW blanks. Brought some from Trademe to replace my failing three button remote for an E61. Ross Galt said they would not do it unless it was one of theirs or a BMW genuine one. Anyone got a go-to guy/gal??

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988-bmw-m3-wagon/?utm_source=transactionalemail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=bat_model_notification I love these S50 swaps especially when they are wagona=s

agree. you have to factor that in when you buy. However with overseas shipping now, I buy most parts ex germany www.carondo.com and they arrive faster than NZ or aussie ordered stuff and cheaper for sure

My E61 has 240,000Kms, my prado 295K, go well and if used and maintained work out good value running

Interesting discussion, seat colour takes precedence over it being a limited edition CS Pretty sure all CS are SMG like all CSL

I have seen this in the flesh and it is immaculate and to spec. But it is a replica for sure

https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-2061402595.htm?rsqid=653fa062e2404cf39a1b34e4dd024855-001 given the asking price of E46 M3's at the moment, I thought this would have sold by now any thoughts on this??
-
a shame this has not sold. I am tempted. While rare, it seems that is not the driver of pricing at the moment. Cars that were on posters on our walls as kids are the ones selling. not necessarily the best cars.
-
it sold for $85K USD, so maybe prices are softening. So $79KNZ for the recent one in CHCH with 30K miles, seems about right or a bit high. crazy how prices are moving at the moment. E46 M3,'s are now more expensive than an E92 M3

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2002-bmw-m-coupe-12/?utm_source=transactionalemail&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=bat_model_notification will be interesting to see what this gets to. They are high priced in the USA

I was thinking the same thing. Can you bluetooth the spoken directions through your radio or just the phoine speaker?

I have read a few threads here on converting to NZ sat nav. I just got an ex UK 2005 E61 and all the electronics are working fine. It asks for the GPS DVD on the i.drive. If what I am reading is correct it's not as simple as getting a dvd and putting it in. I see a company in auckland on trademe (autogravity) doing upgrades. It seems for cost, getting a Garmin GPS/dashcam unit might be a better way to go. n( I have one in my truck. Is it worth doing it the BMW unit? does it have additional features worth having? cheers
