  1. I paid 360 bucks for a new battery for the e34 that has far more juice in it than a standard one. You'll get a good quality battery for a 3'er for prob less than that. I'd recommend the AA for a decent deal, especially if you're a member.

Got stung import duty & GST on the parts order... but this finally arrived on the doorstep today. The cat was interested to know what was inside... ...but then decided he just liked the packing paper. Now to get my jack and axle stands back off Matt so I can get started!
  4. Could be all sorts of things... Thermostat, vacuum leak, a fuelling issue, ECU, etc etc or even a combination of one or more things that is causing the problem.

A mk 1? If you mean 'pre-facelift', the touring model only arrived in 1988 meaning all cars are facelift. Keep an eye out though, good ones pop up here occassionally.

Yeah yeah, i know... Leave the E28 bromance comments in Matt's threads haha! This is where i can get some small amount of love for the pudgy faced E34! I have the fix for it.... Just psyching myself up to do it as it's a mammoth pain in the arse to do. New today - two new Pirellis to pass a WOF and the Pelican Parts order has been shipped.
  10. ^Damn, appears the US store only sells coilover kits? Can you not get products available on the European site?
  11. Price please for sports suspension kit for E34 - Part no. 20020038 ?
  12. Buy a cheap pop up Gazebo from the Warehouse or similar? Polish at night under a work light?

    Mark's E34 project

Been a while since I've done anything of note to the E34. However, I just ordered over $300 USD worth of maintenance items and cooling system parts from Pelican Parts today, so will have something to keep myself busy with over winter. I did think about selling the car recently, but have decided to hang on to it. I know E34's aren't particulary desirable or collectable yet (apart from the M5) but this one is just so tidy and original I can't bring myself to get rid of it. Took some interior pictures when I was thinking about selling, thought I might as well post them here.
  14. Looking for a set of wheels for the E34. 16" or up, preferably shod with warrantable tyres. Budget - up to $600. Let me know if you've got anything suitable. Cheers, Mark.
  15. That car has been on Trademe for probably 18 months or so... the price has slowly come down from $15k to where it is now. Still too expensive in my opinion, but it appears to be in ok condition. I've seen mint condition examples of the M535i (albeit auto versions) go for around $6k. If you're keen on this car I'd have it checked out thoroughly by a BMW specialist and negotiate hard on the price.
  16. Hey mate... welcome! Jealous of your purchase, that's a very nice example of an E46 M3 and well priced too. Here's a discussion thread about your car posted a few days ago... http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=40227

    2004 M3

^ Stock rims are 18"... 19's are an option. The car in question is one of the nicest E46 M3's I've ever seen... looks immaculate and the wheels are boss!
  18. They're part of the m style system.... You can have either turbine or throwing star covers but you need the specific m5 wheels to attach them to. A guy on here has been hunting for a set in NZ for a good while now... at least 6 months to a year. Your best bet is finding a set internationally.
  19. You'll be in for a long hunt. Also you'll have to do a 5 stud conversion obviously.

Ok. Well if you have the original legal plates to sell then please post a picture of the originals and a price as per forum rules. Cheers

    E46 plate

Uhhh... So you already own the personalised plate E46 which you bought from plates.co.nz. ? Don't see how anyone else would want this unless for decorating their wall.
