As above, insure it for what it owes you plus a bit. If you can be arsed then take it into a BMW dealer and see if they'll give you a valuation, a lot can't be bothered though as they're more interested in selling new cars than valuing old ones. I think I'll insure the E30 with Swann when I get it...seems cheap and I'll only be using it as a weekend car anyway. As Matt said they've got cheap premiums and don't require a lot of evidence to support your valuation.

Well, I can see where this is heading already. I'm sorry "Mojojoe", you sound like the kind of person I'd hate to get stuck talking to at a party. Please take your sub-standard intellect and persistent verbal diarrhoea elsewhere. Thread closed.

Please, to save all of us from another 30+ page thread... just buy mine and be done with it. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=686149967 Cheers!

^Fantastic advice. Thank you. But What a rigmarole to just appease one guy who wasnt going to buy the car anyway haha!

Thanks for your support little bro. As youve read in the questions, the speedo may have been swapped (If it was originally sold in Germany then it hasnt been). But the odo reading is genuine as that cant be tampered with.

Had a "discussion" with some moron who decided to get all "keyboard warrior" on it and ruin my auction with his petty obsession about what counts as low kilometres. Heres hoping genuine buyers will look past the rubbish. BTW happy to negotiate price with BS members. :-)

Have bought the other car, so now on Trademe. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=686149967&ed=true

Thanks for the kind comments guys, it's a bloody nice car and a shame to sell... Yes, UK import when very new ... not sure if tourist delivery vehicle (has a km/h speedo) or what, but obviously no air con because of the cooler climate in the mother country. I only drive it in nice weather with the windows down and sunroof open anyway so has never bothered me. Not quite, but to me it's pretty close in terms of sentimental value.

Hey all, Don't want to do this... but have an opportunity to get hold of my dream BMW, so sacrifices must be made! 1990 BMW 535iSE (build date 1988) 5 speed manual 128,000 k's (genuine) Black leather Full toolkit OBC Heated seats and electric driver's side lumbar adjustment Factory alarm New Sony stereo (amber orange backlight to match speedo etc, will give original Blaupunkt to new owner too) 17" Style 5's with pretty much brand new Pirelli P-Zero’s on front and barely worn Dunlop Sportmaxx on the rear New VTNZ warrant Jan ‘14 Maintenance: Water pump / thermostat / all cooling and radiator hoses replaced New battery New fuel filter New spark plugs Regularly serviced (last service Dec ’13) Car is in exceptional condition for age (doubt you’ll find another example with just 128,000 k’s and in manual), but bear in mind it’s 25 years old so there are a few things that need doing: - Blower fan only works on speeds 3 and 4, sword resistor needs replacing or repairing. - WOF inspector noted that the rear trailing arm bushes may need replacing in near future. - Paintwork is original and very good, some stone chipping and light scratches. But looks amazing from three feet away. - Has typical wiper rack issue with E34’s where the wiper arms contact the edge of the bonnet. Matt has had success with adjusting the wiper arms on his so might give that a go first. - Wheels could use a refurb if you’re fussy. Throwing it up here first because I’ve had PM’s in the past from people wanting to know if I’d sell the car. Well, here’s your chance! Asking $7000 ono. PM me for further details or contact info if you wish to chat.

If I had a dollar for every time a thread was started asking "Is it a real 'M' ", I would have... well... several hundred dollars I think. Enough to buy myself some new suspension for the E34 at least. Anyone with a spare dollar keen to start me off?

It's the reverse warning beeper on jap models. Should beep at you when in reverse. Hence why most are disconnected!

Tidy car. Just a note... your model badge is in the wrong place. Could have been replaced after an accident? Worth checking out anyway. Should be placed like this:

Owner has a thread posted, no need for repeat postings in this forum Ta

Now for sale on TM? :/
-
That's not a Motorsport car, looks to be an SE. Well overpriced considering the condition and k's.
-
Wow, that was quick... first sighting of Atta's old V8 E30, a day after he sold it!
-
Check your battery. A battery with a low charge will crank the engine but not run all the electrics which includes the fuel pump.
-
I don't think you'll find the owner will just want to rip the body kit off the car he's selling.
-
It's worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Make him an offer.
-
That's a Zender kit. Not sure about the side panels in terms of looks or fitment on a cab, but would certainly be a rare kit to find for an E30.
-
These look to be metric wheels off an early 5 or 6 series. Essentially useless as you can't get tyres for them anymore (at least at a reasonable price). As Jon mentioned above, OP should post sizes / tyre specs to confirm.
-
Dizzy cap. And I actually think it's the correct answer this time.

This better be a lame attempt at trolling. If not, what the hell is wrong with you? Giving a cat muscle building products designed for humans? And it's not even your cat? Plus, whey comes from milk which cats can't consume as they can't effectively process dairy once they're weaned from their mothers. You're most likely harming this cat. If you're trolling - you are lame. If you're not - you're a absolute moron who should be reported to the SPCA.
