^ Factory HP figures are measured at the crank. Dyno figures are measured at the wheels. You need to adjust for around 20% drivetrain loss. So, 155kw at the wheels is 207hp or around 240-250hp at the crank.

Could be all number of things.... as Glenn said, either take it straight back to the dealer you bought it from, or take it to a garage on Monday for diagnosis. Best not to drive it anywhere, have it towed.
-
Set it so it idles at 750 warm. I'd suggest someone has previously fiddled with idle screw to fix an idling issue in the past.
-
The fronts will fit, but they won't be suitable because of the extra weight of the M50 over the M42. You'll end up with a front end that is way too low. Rears definitely aren't suitable.
-
No, you need to buy a facelift nosepanel to fit them. The panel is around $250-$300 new from a BMW dealer.

I always pull out this old chestnut with threads about E30's not idling properly... is it the thermostat? If it's stuck the ECU will think the engine is permanently cold and the air/fuel mixture will be wonky, making the car run too rich causing it to stall at idle. This was the cause of my stalling problems in my old E30. Failing that, checked your dizzy cap?

Interested, can you pm me part numbers and a price please. Cheers.

Paul, my car is an HD12 but not a 535is. Mine is SE spec without the suspension or M-kit etc. Here's my buildsheet for comparison.

That's not gold paint... Its the protective coating from factory that has turned yellow from the heat of the engine. Nice car though OP.... GLWS

The ones on your car are bbs rg. Not a stock bmw wheel.

Awesome, Wheeler Dealers is back! Gonna be spending some time watching the new season over Easter.

Ask Josh (hybrid)... he has reverse mount LM's on his 5 stud E30. I believe he just reverse mounted them, didn't have to buy different faces or change anything except bolt them up.
-
You can reverse mount the faces for a different look, will change the offset slightly but not so much that it would make it ET20.
-
Saw you over the weekend stopped at the lights on Curletts Road, car looked mint. Was gonna wave but then realised I was in my work car and not the E34 haha.

You don't need 2 threads for selling one set of wheels (yes, I realise you hi-jacked some other guys thread to sell your wheels). Closing this one.

KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!

Blocked cat converter? That's one cause of such a problem. Heed the warnings on your dash... They're there for a reason.

Looking great! But please remove that Jap plate holder, get some plug covers for your jack mounting points and debadge the boot! Otherwise ... epic.

Looks fairly tidy. I'd pay 3-4k for it if I was in the market for such a car. Converting to manual will sting you about $1500-2k. From the looks of the pictures you're in Chch? I'm not sure of any places that specialise in manual conversions for BMW's here.. but someone else maybe able to chime in. There are lots of wreckers in Auckland such as Ray @ HELLBM who could send you the parts and then you could get a BMW specialist such as DCH Motorsport to install them.

Hey Zadkiel, just a friendly reminder that you don't need to post a new thread for every new question you have, you can either search the forums to see if your question has been asked and answered before (9 times out of 10 it has been) or you can post in the "Quick questions" thread here. You'll get an answer just as quick and keeps the forums tidy. Cheers, Mark.

Those are RK's not RS's. People do get hyped about 17 inch RS though, which is why you're probably getting so many PM's.

3000rpm is normal for an auto 320i at 100km/h

Holy rocker cover oil leaks Batman.... surely can't have much more life in it. Having said that Simon's old E34 540is is still driving round Christchurch with 400 odd k's on it!

You could try using "wax and grease remover" (comes in 1 litre bottles from Super Cheap) on the trim to get rid of any wax, then use Mother's Naturally Black trim restorer. Might take a couple of applications but it has worked for me on faded trim in the past. If that doesn't work, go the painting route as already suggested.
