  1. Mr Squibble beat me to it... but started this before and got sidetracked.
  2. The guys in the State use Lamin-X film... http://www.lamin-x.com/BMW-E36-92-99-Fog-L...vers-p/b101.htm
  3. Nice setup Brian. What was the reasoning behind running Nakamichi mids with Alpine crossovers and tweeters? Is the Nakamichi a better speaker than the Alpine mid? Interested to know because I need some decent 5.25's for the E30.
  4. Sorry can't contribute. My car stays warm and dry in its locked garage!

    m42 rebuild help

Are you doing the work yourself? If not... "a couple of thousand" won't cover it. More like 3-4k for the work you want to get done. Would be much simpler and a whole lot cheaper to ditch the worn out 310k engine and swap in an M42 with much lower k's. There's plenty of them around. EDIT: Sorry, didn't read carefully... you are doing work yourself. However, may still come out cheaper to pull the engine and put a fresh one in.
  6. Before you would've been like: "I'm on a boat motherf**ker". Now it'll be like driving a slot car.... nice work Ian. The drop will make your sexy Schnitzers stand out more too.

  9. My old E36 had a LED mounted in the switch blanks on the centre console. The alarm was a Mongoose also. This isn't unusal though, as that's where alarm installers generally mount the arming LED. My alarm was installed aftermarket and had separate remotes. How many buttons does your key have? It could just be the button for the little light in the key that helps you find the lock at night. EDIT: The factory alarm is mounted behind the glovebox.... take a look and see if it's there.
  10. Like this? Made of lightweight fibreglass... factory fit. PM me for details.

    testing the water

Do want. Don't need GL w/sale.
  12. Tricky problem eh .... The other day I just tested my rear windows to see if they still worked. Took a few goes before they eventually went down. Have you tried swapping a few switches around to see if that fixes it? Also, a bit of Dryglide lubricant sprayed into the felt channels  on the window can help get a stuck window working again. Sorry I can't be of more help... it's bloody annoying when you can't figure out how to do something that appears to be so simple.

    OBC Problem

Dodgy connections will sometimes throw up OBC errors. Try cleaning the bulbs and connections with CRC and refitting carefully.

  16. Hey Mark... I've had a look through my back catalogue of TBMW mags and can't find anything useful. All I can find is this blurb from the Haynes manual. Might be of use... generally the Hayne's isn't though!Â
  17. Production of the E30 convertible and touring continued quite a while after the E36 was introduced. It's rare, but not unheard of to see a 1994 registered touring or vert.
  18. Nope, but it could have motorsport options. For example, my car is a South African car that has the motorsport suspension setup installed from factory.

    New feet

Hmmmm, doesn't do it for me.... loved the BBS's. But hey, that's only my opinion.... whatever floats your boat. Good sh*t!
  20. Dude that sucks... I had a feeling very deep down in my gut that those K's couldn't be genuine. If they were, the guys ad would have been a lot more thought out. That could just be hindsight I guess. AC? Air con? Huh?
  21. SMG = Stupendously Mammoth Garage bills.
