    damn neighbour cats

Knit the cat four little lambswool booties. Not only will the cats claws no longer scratch your car, when you wax your car next you will have your very own "kitty buffer". (Patent pending)
  2. Leather can be dyed different colours. There is a place in Christchurch that can do this. Bound to be similar places elsewhere in the country. When I was looking at a 328i with some rather worn vader seats I was quoted around 400 for a full re-dye of the seats. Link to Dyetech leather repair
  3. Top 10 Most Stolen Cars in New Zealand. The hit list 1. Nissan Silvia 2. Subaru Impreza WRX 3. BMW 325 coupe 4. Nissan 200SX 5. Mazda Lantis 6. Subaru Legacy turbo 7. Subaru Impreza non-turbo 8. Nissan Skyline 9. Subaru Legacy non-turbo 10. Honda Prelude I'm safe... I drive a sedan.
  4. You don't actually need to pull out the glovebox (or in our case, any of the dash trim) What you can do if you're flexible enough is recline the drivers seat fully, then lie on your back with with your head facing upwards under the dash. You'll then see the black knob which you twist to remove the microfilter. It will most likely come out in bits, that's OK. Give the recess a vacuum to remove any other leaves etc in there, and then install the new filter. Finally, call a chiropractor You can buy the new filter element from BMW. Good luck
  5. Try changing the microfilter, which is indeed up underneath the dash. There are instructions on the net on how to change it.

    FS: 1994 BMW 325i

I may be going backwards to the land of the E30. Are you trying to sell me ALL of your cars Paul!? I'll be in touch about the 325i too. Thanks Grant... appreciate it!

    FS: 1994 BMW 325i

I know I've listed my car a couple of times now, and every time I get seller's remorse and withdraw the listing. But this time it's for real! I'm sucking it up and selling to fund a new car. Not sure what it will be yet, but need the funds regardless. Trademe Transmission has been reconditioned under warranty. Also, driveshaft has been reconditioned with new universal joints. Water pump replaced with metal impeller version and brakes will be serviced shortly. Nothing left for you to do except enjoy it! Give me a call.
  8. I'm now addicted to this show! Been watching every single episode on Youtube. It's brilliant. However it's now going to make me believe I can overall my entire suspension with only a half hour to spare and a socket wrench!
  9. What a muppet. Seriously though, I agree. Let's all have fun kids.
  10. Tidy car mate... we'll have to organise another Chch meet sometime soon to welcome you to the fray. Your wheels appear to be missing the BMW logo sticker on the centre caps. Some new ones would smarten the wheels up nicely. Welcome. Cheers, Mark.
  11. Awesome!!.... now just needs some "show" to match the "go"!
  12. Gimme a B! Gimme an A! Gimme a T-T-E-R-Y! What does that spell? As Glenn said, BMW batteries can't be charged with a bog standard battery charger. If you're a member, get the AA out, they can install one on the spot for you. If it was the fuel pump, the car would crank but not start.
  13. Those ugly Subaru Imprezas were made by Subaru in their factory. They called it the "Casa Blanca". Strangely enough I don't find it as ugly as the new model WRX! As for the Figaro etc. There were 20,000 made for the Japanese market and potential owners had to enter a lottery to buy one. I think they're quite cool little cars, getting rarer these days too which is why they hold their value I guess.
  14. Eurorec on Blenheim Road will sort you out.
  15. You have an intellect to rival Stephen Hawking's. /sarcasm
  16. If you're in dire need of a ciggy (filthy habit BTW) the rear ashtray will fit the slot in the front too so just swap it over. Can't help with the central locking problem though, sorry!

    OBC lights

As Yuen said, put your finger into the hole on the top of the sunglass holder and push upwards and out HARD. You won't break it. The top edge of the OBC needs to pop out first, then you can wiggle the whole thing free. When replacing a bulb, remember to take the old one with you to the stealer. BMW used a few different companies to make the OBC and the bulbs are not compatible between models.

    Google Chrome

Have been testing it out... it is VERY quick! I have to decide whether to switch from Opera though, which is also very good.
  19. I think the kit was an option. Not all M535's have them. Also, I feel sorry for the poor guy that bought the "1995" 318i that's actually a '91... yikes.
  20. Two awesome looking cars! Loving the new wheels on the 540! Hope you don't mind, just brightened a couple of the shots a tad. (to see more of the awesome-ness!)

    New Bimmersport Hats

This comment is also relevant to me, as fashion-wise I am permanently stuck in the early 90's.
  22. The ashtray and headlight dial ones? Yup. The bulb pulls out of the holder you have pictured. They're exactly the same at Supercheap. Hehe! OBC bulbs are different and vary throughout the production years of the E36. You have to get the exact same bulbs from the stealer otherwise they won't work.
