Try the AA... if you're a member their batteries are very good value. Had mine fitted for $240 if I recall correctly.

The search was based on a Euro M3 with a build date of 6/1994 If you wish to continue flogging this dead horse, feel free to PM me so we keep it out of the thread.

Dude, I just provided you with a link to the BMW parts diagram that proves without a doubt that BMW offered clear lights as a factory option on 3 litre M3's. What else do you need??!! And you're right... back to the M3 at hand. Gosh, it would look better if it had been factory optioned with clears eh?
-
Wrong. RealOEM Parts Diagram - M3 front/side turn indicators Case in point: CrazyArab's 1995 M3 has OEM clears from the factory.
-
Clear indicators were an option on all 3 litre M3's. All Evos came with them standard.

Many regarded the 518i as a better car than the 520i due to the more useable around-town torque of the 1.8 engine. It got far better fuel consumption too so sold in big numbers in Europe thanks to fleet purchases. My opinion on worst BMW ever made: (this will ruffle some feathers) The 8 series. Overly complicated, overpriced, overly expensive to maintain, and in it's time wasn't a patch on the SL Roadster. And while they appreciate in value now thanks to low production numbers, that's only because BMW couldn't give the things away at the time!

Have seen this before... but a bit disappointing to see it's not being updated. I'd really like to see the finished product.

Latest TotalBMW with the E34's on the front cover has a buyers guide to the E39 V8. But Jochen has listed many of the points raised in the article already.

Interior looks dirty... could be a sign of how well it's been treated. Things to check: - Digital climate control, they're often faulty so make sure it works. Check heater blows strong and hot, check aircon is ice cold. - Inspection light is on, even though it's just had a service from CHCH BMW (photos may be old of course) - Check for rust around sunroof etc, and make sure it works both ways, (hold the close button down for tilt function) - I'm dubious about the benefits of the engine being waterblasted!!! Trying to hide evidence of an oil leak(s)?? - Have a good scan over the service records for any major work that's been done, especially on the cooling system. Apart from that just check the usual stuff you check when looking at a car... with the alarm and CD player etc it seems like a fairly good deal and the owner is heading overseas so will be looking for a quick sale. If it checks out I'd walk in with $4k and see if they take it.

When you originally mentioned "eyebrows" I had my doubts, but they actually really suit the car. Nice work.

240hp... yep. But I think what was meant is that the Lightweight version of the US spec M3 was 0.3 seconds faster than the normal version.

Not photochopped... all real cars.

ArmorAll is sh*thouse. I only use a damp microfibre cloth to clean my interior. The boys in the US all use Aerospace protectant...

Could be keen without tyres... what size tyres are you running?
-
Yup they will... but I see from your for sale thread you've already figured that out! Do it... those style 5's will look sooooo hot!

My original battery gave up the ghost early this year... it was 14 years old! Lucky it didn't explode!

Hey mate, there is a TON of information on the net about the E36 3 series. A quick google for "E36 common problems" will yield a heap of info for you. Good luck!
-
Holy shite! Original BMW battery? Must have been getting on in years.
-
Nope. Different car. Looking good Jed... can't wait to see it in the flesh. The iS lip and lower bumper looks in need of a cut n polish or perhaps a respray, but apart from that VERY tidy!

A PDF copy of the E36 Bentley can be found with a quick Google search. It's good, but don't take it as gospel, it often skips steps and brushes over certain topics.

A 6 hour drive in the M3 Atta? No sweat!
