  1. Funny... except that last one with the cyclists being run over is in really bad taste. I read the story behind it and most of those cyclists died at the scene.
  2. Just reported his 318i listing. This guy is a absolute joke. Why can't Trademe just block his IP address and be done with it??!!
  3. Cheers for all the comments guys. I will be lowering it slightly at some point probably just 30mm or so. One more shot from today.
  4. I buy my copies of Total BMW, BMW Car and (sometimes) Performance BMW from Borders. Also, some of the smaller Paper Plus stores carry issues of TBMW... Whitcoulls only carry Woman's Day which is not relevant to my interests.
  5. You can't start one of these threads without telling everyone your song first! I don't play one song in particular, but the album that's on repeat in my car at the moment is MGMT - Oracular Spectacular
  6. In that auction he mentions he has a daughter... which means there are mini Strat1's running around, soon to be unleashed upon unsuspecting Trademe users. Watch out!!!
  7. Hehe... I've been bidding to find the reserve. Seems to be about 5k. Might go have a wee look on the weekend.

    1986 320i e30

Looks to me like your radio is worth more than your car! Check your battery at an auto sparky's to see if it's on the way out. A dicky battery can play havoc with the electrics. I'd also take the new engine option, but only if the car's shell isn't rusty. Otherwise you may as well just cut your losses and buy a whole new car. Good luck!
  9. Good read... wouldn't mind either of those cars. I love the shrieky note of a WTCC car's engine!

    Ryan's E36

Will be written on the strut tower under the bonnet... Looks Mauritius Blau to me. Nice tidy E36 regardless... how's downgrading in terms of engine power going for you?
  11. Ray has this black E34 540i for sale on Trademe... that'd look cool smoking up the rears!
  12. Welcome mate... love white E46's. Also a fan of the GTI Golf post some pics up of yours. Cheers, Mark.
  13. Send them an email and see what they say... As a comparison, you can buy the same M5 style front bumper from Euro2000CarParts in Auckland (Link) for $675 + GST!!!! So even if the shipping is a couple of hundred dollars you're still saving a lot of cash!
  14. Allan Milligan Cars on Moorhouse Ave sell a lot of used BMW's and they also have a mechanics workshop called Motoworld. Being a car yard they'll can also give you a "yard valuation" and a "trade valuation" if it's for insurance purposes.
  15. I assume they drill the PDC holes for you and you simply re-fit your existing sensors.
  16. Fibreglass is heavy and doesn't have the smooth finish of plastic kits. Fitting can also be troublesome. Check out DDM Tuning in the States who sell replica M5 front and rear bumpers in plastic for very reasonable prices.
  17. Don't get the one piece angel eyes... you'll regret it down the track. Save up and buy the ones Nick 021 suggested.

    M3 bumpers

My bumper is a replica, but plastic not fibreglass. I got it off Trademe, but last time I checked you could buy them from here: www.euro2000carparts.co.nz They're quite expensive though, and I know that the only BMW wrecker in CHCH, "Eurorec" charges like a wounded bull for any secondhand M-tech parts. I called them and they wanted $1000 dollars for a front bumper!!! If you're cool with bringing in parts from the States, I'd definitely consider DDM Tuning, the link which Allan posted above. They have an excellent reputation on Bimmerforums.com and if the shipping is not too crazy you could get one landed here for a few hundred dollars. Check out my Project 325i thread for some pics of my M3 bumper, it's the same as the ones they sell on DDM tuning.
  19. For sale is an M-Tech style rear diffuser, designed to replace the existing trim on your non-M bumper. Makes your rear bumper look more like the M-Tech item. Item is in good condition, no scrapes or marks. I have cut some notches out of the plastic in the top edge to help it sit flush with the bumper (these will work for your bumper too). Simply attaches with two screws. Price $100 bucks + postage. Drop me a PM Cheers, Mark.

Damnit, edited my last post but that means I don't get a bump to the top of the new posts list! I need street cred! So... bump!
