I would just re-kit, the old steel shifter plate type one was always crap IMO, But will be fine if you change all the mounts, knuckle bushing and shifter cup bushing.. You may be limited with upgrades for the shifter linkage but worth checking. I would buy a new clutch since it's a heck of a job why bother use a used clutch, may aswell go new to avoid having to remove the gearbox again. It's one of those "While you're there" type things, Like the rear main seal.

If you are looking at doing an m52 e30 swap then I strongly recommend reading the M5x - E30Zone Wiki. Every component of the swap and branches off into some great info. Wish I came across it last time I did it (probably didn't exist tbh) There are heaps that have used getrag 240 (e30 m40) gearbox behind m52 with no issue, I would say due to it's low cost / simplicity that it bolts directly in with no modification and using mix and match of OEM parts. How do the ones you have fit? I would remove bumper to install, Just temporary. Wouldn't want to chop the tech2 rear just for a tow bar. I worded it wrong I believe, I mean I want one that fits into the bumper mounts, then normally standard bumper bolts ontop. I want one I can easily bolt on by taking my rear apron off and bolting on easily. Already have wiring plug hiding behind the bumper just want a bar.

Anyone got a FL type towbar that bolts onto rear bumper? Want one that can be fitted easily without having to drill millions of holes as a temporary bolt on / off when needed. (Wellington preferred)

What did you pay for it? Just swap your wheels from this and tail lights / lights and it would look way better. Then swap all the goodie parts over too.

But if it was the crank sensor or ECU, there wouldn't be a spark (how would the spark plug know when to fire if it wasn't getting a feed from the crank sensor for engine position and the ECU to send out to the coil?) You need to check and clean the connectors in that plug where the Injector loom plugs into the main engine loom, it is between / under the intake manifold. Or pull out the fuel rail and get the injectors to point into 6 bottles and crank the engine to see if they actually fire or not.

So there is fuel going to the fuel rail, But have you checked if fuel is going into the engine? Are the spark plugs soaked after cranking? There is a plug under the manifold connected the injector loom to the engine loom, could be a start if you know the injectors aren't firing. Or you can have a look on the e30zone wiki there is very good troubleshooting steps and understanding of what controls what and narrowing down a fuel problem. http://www.e30zone.net/e30zonewiki/index.p...uel#Controlling

I need a m20 flywheel and have one given to me but I don't know whether it's a single or dual mass (it's not with me yet still need to get it shipped to me), This is the only photo I have can anyone tell from this picture unless i get clearer ones of the other side?? Maybe you can't really tell from the backside, if so I will have to wait for better pictures. Was from a Pre FL 320 As far as I know, as it came from the same car that 240 in the picture is from. Can't find any clear pictures on a m20 dual vs single mass wheel either.

I know Z doesn't sell 98 due to there being little to no demand for it.

*tech2 Yeah the fog lights screw into plastic bungs if you line it up behind the valance the holes should line up to plastic screw bungs and you just need some screws to mount them.

Sell it to someone else who wants an m30 e30, obviously someone has done the hard work why engine swap an already swapped e30? Sell it and buy something else, You always seem to change your mind as soon as you buy something.
