Still have them. Andy tried to boost my auction and ended up winning them Lol
-
Yeah, annoyed me not having that place, fan behind it didn't even work don't know what it was wired too. Was DIY'd and cut to fit against the A/C box and blow against the condenser or whatever looking thing inside the heatercore. Just pulled it out so I could fit in the console I kept from the m325 with less cut outs so I only have window switches in the middle. And that grill thing used to squeak all the time I thought it was the dashboard every time I hit a bump but it was that plastic grill lol.
-
I checked Ebay and Pelican, Couldn't see it on Pelican but the one on Ebay was the gearshift console one. Mine works, I just swapped gearshift consoles to one from a coupe so I don't have so many switches in the middle and there had been a grill where the lower space was, looks tidier and I ended up moving the window circuit breaker switch up to above the stereo how it is on some e30's, Bit didn't realize the switches are actually different.
-
Anyone have the switch that fits in the the slot above the stereo? Apparently the gearshift console one does not fit there Looks like this, but be good if someone had one with the picture on it too.

Weird, It's an 89 production date but has pre-facelift tail lights. Probably why Andy assumed it was a pre-facelift.
-
Haha nah not selling this one any time soon
-
Hmm, Nah I reckon they look weird without center caps. Doesn't look as tidy. Rear raised 8mm. Dat rip

This pretty much sums it up..

Sold a genuine kit just last week in not so good condition around the 1k mark! I believe Ray may have one liying around if you ask

I'll see how these spring pads go, They're solid and thicker than standard so should get it where I want it. Cheers though! I'll give your trolley jack back once I've done them tomorrow haha. Never doing a diff on my driveway again (1st pics are my stone tiled driveway). Severe back massage while liying under the car.

Lol so true! Yeah always wondered if it was the same 2.5, read alot of stories and even got told it had a 2.7 from someone else when I got it, But theres oddly no number on the block so who knows! Heads got the 885 stamp under the intake side though. Still has the same Simota intake, but no extractors. Standard 325i exhaust welded on an angle from the manifold (lol) I have those Vogtland springs too, The fronts sit exactly the same, the rear sits a tad too high though, need something in between which hopefully the spring pads will do, else I will put the vogtland rears back in. It's definitely made its rounds on here over the years! HAHA, Identity crisis

Yep sure is your old one, minus a few bits and maybe a different engine (read through some older threads on it from you and Sam etc), Yeah I need to raise the rear, the rear is heavier so sits lower than it should. Have some thick spring pads to throw in this weekend to raise it up abit. Some angles it looks like it is dragging it's rear.. Interesting feedback on the front grill though , Chrome looks more classy and original but the blacked out looks staunch looking when looking head on. Need better photos I think

Thought I'd make a thread of my e30 since I have a few pictures from here and there from my phone, It's a 1989 E30 320i touring with an m20b25 and manual, Have owned it since the end of last year. So far what I have done is: H&R Sport springs RS reps (ESM 002R 16x9's) Smoked headlights (may do the high beams eventually) e36 Window switch swap - Like these switches alot, look alot better M-Tech2 steering wheel - Worn abit on one side sadly 3.73 LSD Rolled rear guards Upgraded rear diff hanger bush to a Polyurethane bush Repsrayed faded front grills and blacked middle kidney ones, Have a mint chrome one though if I get sick of it (undecided on look) Also not long ago did the full timing belt, waterpump etc new coolant and oil and filters etc, Driveshaft coupling, CSB and gearbox oil / rear seal. Engine runs very well, only problem is abit of a sticky throttle cable that gives me a high idle but I have a spare. Only problems at the moment are Front recaro seat has a rip in the front bolster, Headliner keeps sagging in the rear, Have stuck it back up twice but the sunroof wind seems to keep ruining it Tech2 wheel needs some attention Rear is sitting abit low, Just got some thicker spring pads to put in to give it an extra half inch height in the back. Just keeping it pretty OEM.. Resisting temptation to m50 it or something though hah. First 2 pics are from yesterday after swapping in some all black door cards and the LSD then giving it a well needed wash..

Stripping spray paint off e39 wood interior trims
e30ftw replied to BreakMyWindow's topic in Appearance
Try prepsol (Wax and grease remover), it works real well if it was only spray can paint used. Dab some on a cloth and rub away and it should come right off eventually. -
Quick google suggests they went out of business? http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showt...!!!!

Bump for a couple things left... Mtech1 steering wheel Tail lights Front / side indicators all good condition Still have rear trail arms and half shafts (Take whatever you offer over $10 or ill scrap them ) Also a 4.1 Medium case e30 diff $200 Also have various switches, e30 window switches etc..
-
Looks real nice, That rear end is pretty damn low though, considering it's a pre-facelift with higher rear arches and still tucking alot of tyre..
-
Bump... Most closing tomorrow. 2 trail arms look set to go on 1 dollar. Would get more at scrap yard!
-
Yeah a couple hundred dollars but was expecting it. Freight suprised me though real cheap.
-
So expensive locally.. Yeah that's the same with mine, the rear bobs down really low. I want it more stiff, but not unbearable where the cabin just bangs and clunks in the rear. Good site, Koni sports are $590 USD - Are the Koni sports the adjustable ones? I think they are shorter front inserts than stock so need strut modification though.. Hmmm.
-
Depends on what you are buying, if they are bigger items or not and how many different vendors. Or else consolidating them may incur GST fees if they total $400+ (maybe not if in multiple packages) But I'd recommend Kiwishipping.co.nz , They are part of Mainfreight and have a U.S depot you can send stuff to, then they arrange bringing it into a NZ mainfreight depot, all you have to do is wait for the call to collect it and it's very cheap too (cost me $109NZD to ship a set of wheels via sea container, which took a month).

I have Boge's at the moment, they are not bad but I think the front's have had it. What sort of Koni's are you running? Adjustable or ? I think I heard the koni adjustables were $360 each for fronts or something for an e30?? Where does everyone get them from?
