Badass. Good price too. Is the sump guard the OEM SA one? Any mods to fit under an m50? I had one when I did an m50 in my last e30 and the engine / sump sat too low. Interested to know if you are using the m5 / e28 535 engine mounts?

Nah I have H&R's in my touring they are about the same as what is in there now, if not a tad higher. Vogtlands go about the same. You can't get much lower without going coilovers before running out of spring / shock travel.

I thought the site was still down because I had bimmersport.co.nz/forum bookmarked at home and work.. Was thinking this is taking ages... Wonder if I was the only one surely not lol

Anyone know the secret to adjusting rear koni e30 shocks? They look like the below, From what I've read you need to remove the bumpstop (there is no bumpstop, just a white bushing with a cutout to slip it out) then compress the shock right in and you should feel it go into the adjustment. But it just spins and spins and I never feel anything. Any ideas?

Too much dish on the rear IMO, Compared to the front + Sticking out too much. Looks alot better though, Can't beat an e30 on RS'

Must have been a hell of a burnout

Bad ass. Jelous of those fabrication skills. Is this to be road legal or just a project for the hell of it? And what made you go for the e28 ?

Welcome. Weather permitting in a garage? lol

Okay I have one with me now....It's not that one though and this one is 9.4KG.... Can I safely get it taken down to ~6.5KG ? Any experiences too on what the general cost for lightening a wheel?

Did you use an m40 getrag 240? You will need a 320i manual driveshaft and the selector linkage. Looking good though, big improvement from the matte black.

Any of engine bay, Doing the m50 swap weren't ya? Going now?

Needs to be made public, can't be viewed otherwise.

I'll point out the obvious and say you probably cut the wrong wire or if it was sharing a power source and you have cut that out. Only way your going to fix it is by getting an e30 ETM and find the wiring diagrams then trace the wires ..

None sorry will update this thread tomorrow with more random bits and remove whats gone. Diff . Under panel and bearings all gone.

Have you already got an e30 and m52?
-
Looks alot better on the BBS RS'. Always wanted this car..

Definitely 16", 17's look too big IMO, especially dished wheels. I have those in 16x9 all around, Fronts poke out so 8" would probably be perfect. They look good in that black too..

Pedal box between auto and manual is the same, You just need the longer bolt and clutch / brake pedal from a manual car and slide it in to replace the auto brake pedal. Master cylinder mount is already there. Maybe because the Brake booster is on the opposite side of the car, it's easier to just change the brake booster rather than modify and fit new brake pedal. I believe there is a coding plug that is required to be changed on the 318i cluster, probably easier to just get a 325i cluster or a damaged one.

It's called a 'Euro plate fillter' - Looks shite without.

Nothing much really, Diff is easy to change just find a medium case LSD. You have wiring to change and the clutch pedal to add, relatively easy to do did that on my last e30 with the m50 as it started as a 320i auto. Ended up with 3.64LSD, 325i suspension and converted to manual. Cluster is the same between auto / manual except the rev gauge may show red line differently..
