  1. Is the sensor you replaced, the one that the cluster displays? My Audi has 4 coolant temp sensors, one fuel trim, one climate control, one cluster needle and one aux fan.....

    Other toy trouble

Ahahhaha sheet that is dangerous but hilarious!
  3. What do you expect to see on an NZ new car? Kit/Wheels/exhaust/badges was as AC as they came dealer new here. Good luck with the sale, a fantastic car. I'll refer a couple people I know are in the market for a car like this.
  4. <Just described every electronics store worker>
  5. Man that'd really piss me off. I'm not an unreasonable idiot in such situations either, heck- our family business is retail. I know what it's like to behind the counter and that guy has been a real prick to you by the sounds.
  6. Good post. I was going to say that classic will forever stay in the pre mid-90s realm. I may be wrong though. It may just be that those which we call classic will eventually gain another name, and the term classic wll come forward another generation. The 60s/ 70s sports BMW for instance while raw and classic now, was once a sublime, fast drive- one of the best on the road. Today's BMW makes the same comparison with say, a Mazda. The goalposts have just moved. So for any given time period, cars' range of comparable attributes have not changed. However may I suggest that the buyer has changed. Cars are more of an accessory today than they have ever been, in a world where media has told us how heavily to rely on looks. Any jerkoff with enough credit history can go and tick up an RS4 or similar and effectively purchase a look, an ego, and a lifestyle all in one package which he will toss away in 3 years to upgrade to whatever Kanye is driving this time. With this practice bringing ever more top spec models to our roads and desensitising us, will we simply care less about this and subsequent generations of cars? Perhaps not, but worth a thought.
  7. It will be up north in a shed sorry. Must have been a very altered photo, as the green was a much more attractive mid flat green. May have been about 1997 and had a new generation red Honda Accord coupe on the cover. Either that, or a Silver Zender coupe.
  8. You actually see a lot of early E38s that have been facelifted, I suppose it was an easy mod to keep up to date
  9. Mmm fair call. There is also boston green, metallic mid blue and a shade of silver. 328i manuals were on offer in the same spec from SA
  10. Never meant for NZ market? I have old Autocar magazines with 2 page spread advertising for them by BMWNZ, with a green one beside the touring car. Touted as the road going touring car ltd edition.
  11. As per title, looking for full manual conversion for a 1993 525i M50 in Auckland. What have you? Cheers Nathan
  12. Happy birthday door handle

    Stance?

To look like dorks. As with most fads; bigger better. The closer you can get to the arch with max camber etc etc is the goal. Stance's grandfather looked attractive where a car has a bit more track and a bit more camber to look the business, then the boys took it to the extreme. Fads come and go, just with higher peaks and troughs than fashion.
  14. Whether it fixes the problem or not, this thread has some of the best, most considered and deduced advice I have seen in a long time. No "its definitely the pcv/icv/replace everything it will bean offence if you don't spend a ton of money" statements to be seen. I'm a (green behind the ears) mech engineer and this the kind of problem solvibg ability that not many people have. Keep up the good work
  15. White 760Li outside Massimo Takapuna with HILARIOUS fluoro orange tape on half of the trim and lip of the wheels.

    E34 ACS 540i

Spotted in Takapuna as you left this evening, looking and sounding great
  18. As petty and immature as I find most people ranting about people's incorrectly listed 'M' cars most of the time, the way he has bitten makes this auction the exception. Pretty funny.

    E34 ACS 540i

ALthough I can't help with the check system, may I say what a fantastic looking car you have there. While M-pars would undoubtedly look good on the right E34, the ACS trim options added to you car all suit each other and it is a great example of an original (aside from wind mirrors, i think?), top spec car which doesn't need changing. Keep it original!

    BMW 530i M-Sport

Looking good, but how about an unedited photo? I feel like I'm looking at the cover of a fashion magazine
  21. I Paid 270 per tyre for Pirelli P7s a year or so ago.
