I don't sense a tu ad. Surely we all realise by now that BMW's nomenclature isnt at all specific and hence is inherently misleading. Yes, the car seems to be a regular m325- but it would take a flat out liar to misquote a plainly stamped engine number with the cryptic alpina letters in it. The engines didnt come with that badge on top all of the time, in fact more commonly on the Australian cars. The digi gauge is also in line with this. If Bavarian Msport australia managed to get alpina bits and engines in new cars, i'm sure this person could have as well. A friend of ours had a plain- jane Gwagen pulled off the line in the early 80's and fitted with AMG engine and no other extra spec which is unusual, but the people at BMW and Merc are only human- it IS possible to mix and match.

I think you mean the Daimler Limousine which was based on the MKX/420g... they made them up until the late 80's much like the mercedes 600
-
I love finding cars like that! I prefer rundown cars to mint ones. The 420G was'nt succeeded by anything, but like all jags at the time it shared the basic XK engine. The XJ6 replaced the MkII/340/S-type. We recently bought a fully restored original low mileage 250 V8 saloon which is proving quite fun!

I love the interior... ext is to a particular taste i suppose.... They did lycoming gas turbines in such boats in the mid- 90's until the fuel became too expensive and big very fast boats became unfashionable.... i suppose there is still a lot of money out there that can aford it though

They have 20 spokes= correct amount... and yep they could come with bmw badges
-
Mine wont sign in...

I think the S6 was more common in manual compared to 4, but neither were common in manual compared to auto(in nz that is- grr). I have my eyes on an unloved S6 in parnell that lives out on the road.... Probably a basket case mind
-
The note was amazing- it used to make every bit of loose corrugated iron or tin within 5m reverberate
-
Looks to be lowered as well- mine was jacked compared to that

I had one of these as my last car- amazingly strong, upgradable engine, worth more than the car is actually. only 2 issues mine presented were worn front strut mounts (these are a heavy car) and dodgy auto- check system telling me that brake pads and rear brake lights were always out. REmoved beeper and bulb for this which took care of that! (system is seperate from engine check warnings) And replaced strut mounts. Odd that this one doesnt have an airbag, but at least its one less light to come on! I love these cars. Put the engine into an 80 quattro sedan edit: I pranged mine, panels drivetrain and lights are next to impossible to find as they are not shared with 100/A6

Ask them to send you some? They are worthless in a monetary sense... tend to have silly modern slogans on them now too
-
Oooo 60ish? it is a 2005 import, all colour coded dark metallic grey (charcoal?) with black leather sport seats heated and drivers elec
-
Coincidentally I also have a gunmetal grey mk5 gti DSG with black leather for sale as well, both cars are otherwise going to be traded, they have offered $16 for the 1 and $17 for the Gti as trades.... :(
-
I have a silver 120i SE with 69km's for sale if you would be interested, at a price much lower than that....
-
Yeah hence me comparing to maser and porsche costs.... V10 toaregs are very thirsty yes
-
I wouldnt really choose any of the above, but how about a v10 Touareg (being as you seem happy enough for the costs of a maser/ porsche v8) and have TQ+ power with the handling of a cayenne
-
Come on guys you all know you want a piece of this.

Isn't it hilarious/ sad that so many people can only associate class and style to brands which somebody else thought up. Common. Would be awesome if just a manual v8 merc! -
Wow that's an awesome colour man! looking very good.
-
Hmm tough situation man and I feel for ya, however I think when it comes to the crux, 'nana' or 'mother of 2' wouldn't have lost traction- so you may not have a very strong leg to stand on. Nonetheless I would be very mad if this happened to me- i'm a stubborn c*nt
-
Of the colours, i love the darker green. Otherwise I really like the whitewalls- they sorta allude to turbine 1's on a racing e30 m3
-
You would be surprised man! I have a mate who regularly leaves his convertible 360 parked on te road 100m from his house overnight, and also a mate who keeps his gallardo is a fully open- sided carport
-
The rubbish site wont fully load for me, does it have a ferrari engine like the old one?
-
May I suggest that $25,000 for a non- M3 e30 does not have much at all to do with the fact that it is an E30, more the condition that the old car is in, and the rarity of the CONDITION not the car. These are not really part of the market. A thin argument I know, but valid I think. edit: I agree CamB, cars need to steadily trade at a price for that to be their VALUE, as opposed to $17k+ which is more likely severance.
-
Remember that for something be a rip off, someone needs to have been ripped off...... That car hasnt sold yet
-
With that reasoning I actually cannot argue... maybe, its cult or classic status? Maybe the old- fashioned looks as opposed to an e36 which isnt old-cool but isnt modern? Cannot explain the reason so far as availablity goes though. Perhaps it is hard to get a genuinely good e30, and the rest are utter trash. E36's wont have as much rust etc in them
