    Red front E30 springs

I am not a pimp, nor am I so much smarter than the good folk at alpina, that i would throw their springs in the bin. if i had gone for gold down the mangumukas that time, my guards would be rolled out into wings. Also the wheel would have rubbed a hole throgh into the engine bay. The guards roll themselves on SH10 on small bumps on the road even. The plastic above the wheels have gashes and marks on them from when the wheels hit the top going straight. The front shocks are FINE and are not shot, I do not want to match the rear springs, Alpinas have lower fronts than rears anyway. mine are just lower than that. To save people giving 'advice', anyone got a pair of front Alpina E30 springs? NO idea of how low they are sorry
  5. These are just too low for my liking, they replaced the alpina springs which are a bit higher. im keen to swap them for fronts that will match the alpina rears a bit better (maybe 20mm higher than where the front is now)
  6. cool IDEA just tlike the american cars, but that is the f**king ugliest thing i have ever seen

    90 e30 coupe

If it had standard springs on it, and the front lip still attached, i would easily pay 3k for it, i think it looks really nice. Price shouldnt go any lower than that, hold out for a buyer!
  8. bahahah yeah just did that for effect- i actually hate the M3's one.....

haha na seriously this car does get its share of action, fluid change will be the first thing it sees. (this car has been raced hence shagged engine therefore engine rebuild)

    LSD groan

I have a noise occasionaly at slow speed on tight turning coming from the LSD, its a sort of groan/ knock almost like a spring twisting/ slipping.. Any ideas?

    BMW 14in Weaves

i think bottlecaps look great on e30's when they are very clean. I had them on my black Tech2 sedan and i think they looked better, and certainly rode better than the 17" momo rims i had before, so 14" weaves are ever better
  16. most digi cameras use the same USB link as V3's, download the software for a v3 and you're away laughing. u'll be able to transfer music etc to and from your phone as well
  17. sam just go round and have a look at the car, check the number as will suggests.....

    Trademe 735i

NB no alpinas would be sacrificed for an old seven!! It just put the idea in my head that old sevens look cool with nice wheels, and often a front kit as well! The pinna stays, in all its "salt road damaged" glory!

    Trademe 735i

    Trademe 735i

this 735i is on trademe- looks really cool with those wheels..... love it so much more than my car, what do you guys think of E23's? any advice?
  21. ooooooo i want....! what sort of "normal" work?
  22. the E30 316 is a 1.8L M10 carby, and its less powerful than injection.... Ask will, he knows carbys
  23. I would say that you could get not above 3500, definitely not below 2000. (YOU COULD GET not "it is worth")
  24. Bravo, not sure what sort of league you are talking, but we use ABN Amro- Craigs, and it keeps us happy
  25. Having owned neither car, ill say the golf. They are reliable, and have nice neutral- looks. The 306 really is a bit gay looking. My grandmother has had 5 new peugeots in a row, and has had problems with them all- including (even within a few months new) -Remote locking on 505gti always locked itself -309 had some form of engine troubles i cant remember -306 had cooling problems i think -406 had elec problems with gauges etc -307 has had major gearbox problems, and general lack of power in engine, not even pug in france can identify the prob, and after 'fixing' it, its bad again now. She is planning on looking at a new Golf. Mums partner has a Golf GTi turbo manual- it has really good fuel econ, and the only problem he has ever had was the drivers window motor clapped out in some way. (hes looking at trading now too) VW golfs just have the better rep/ image im sure.
