Tapping the brakes so they are barely engaged yet light the rear stop light has a wonderfull effect on following distances.. for a short period. In saying this, some police officers are just as bad with their following distances. A friend ended up being rear ended when she was being followed far too closely late at night, the lights were what was most annoying at those distances and she ended up braking hard, the police officer smashed into the back of her. At the time she hadn't realised it was a mufti cop following She was ticketed for dangerous driving by the officer which was later dropped in court and the officer charged.

Seats and door cards arrived in excellent condition, rear all installed, just waiting for carpet cleaning stuff to dry before installing fronts. Cheers

There is an E30 sitting outside antil33ts house... if your very quiet that has everything you need Willie at European Auto Wreckers should have all you need, sometimes just have to be a bit patient with him as he can be a bit busy at times if the part isn't already out of a car.

dry solder joint is generally a hairline crack that appears around components on any circuit board over time, can be caused by heat expansion / contraction over time, poor quality solder resolder with a bit of additional solder usually resolves most dry solder issues

This, is what most people believe was the case now: Driveways. Currently, if a driveway is a public entrance or exit, for example, at a supermarket, hospital or airport, it must be treated as an uncontrolled intersection. Given the differing designs and locations of driveways, the NZTA believes it would unnecessarily complicate the proposed changes to the give-way rules if driveways were to be included within the definition of an intersection. Instead, it is proposed to add a new requirement in clause 4.4 of the Rule to require that a vehicle exiting a driveway give way to vehicles on the road.
-
Easiest to understand would be the overview, but definately looking forward to NZ bringing in the same giveway rules that have been used overseas by the majority of countries. And I am pretty sure that most drivers I have come across believed this was already the rule Proposal 2. It is proposed to amend the Rule to require all traffic from a terminating road at an uncontrolled intersection to give way to all traffic travelling on a continuing road.

Good work Chris, welcome to the club, will have to have a catch up and nosy in person but looks like you should enjoy it. Hehe, I assume your choice of location for photo antl33t being its in the same place as Clintons X5

Mmm, that is beautiful I recently forced an M20B25 into the space where my M10 used to be, with a good cleanup / replacement of most of the stuff you mentioned in post one, have a thread around with pictures as well somewhere.

I may have one sitting in the boot of a 4 door, how urgent you after one?

Don't be silly guys, they are those new invisible ones, like those new fancy indicators everyone seems to be using these days, the ones that mentally project which direction the car is planning on moving.
-
There are some stunning examples of what to do to your car to reduce the value of it. Each to their own though
-
Which is more where I was coming with my .. confused comment, most M20 turbo builds you would see the turbo coming up above the exhaust manifold, so would be nice to have a few more pictures to see what has been done.
-
That.. is confusing

Is that the one sitting down Invers way? Don't tempt me, already have a bmw sitting at parents I need to be working on, not that I wouldn't love a nicely restored E28

Do a quick check after the AFM for any cracks / breaks in the intake pipe. Had similar issues with mine when I had a split in my intake, incorrect air measurement causing car to splutter and fart around like it was having sparking issues.

HB Fella Hope you are making the most of your Australian holiday with the folks. Take the rental car and do a skid

Interestingly, although not illegal to drive slow, there are some responsibilities for the drivers who are driving slowly Speed Limits in NZ - Ministry of Transport
-
Right, at least I will know why all the other drivers are doing 80km on the open road. A little patience never hurt anyone, haven't got much travelling to do these holidays anyway

Odd that you have Seal Beam and non sealed beam between the two sides Appco have them for $18 a light for the high/ low sealed beam. On that note, Repco / Appco seem to be the only place in Dunedin I can find Sealed Beam lights, recently the only ones they now stock have started being manufactured in China and last couple haven't lasted as long as I would hope, starting to get a stack of lights with blown low beams. Interested in alternatives
