Awesome! I saw your new car at the car park at Hampton downs and it is a nice clean M5 - enjoy! Pick up the latest Top Gear a Mag to read the comparo between the F10 and the E39....... They still hold up well. -

I have one......it's called granddads slipper and it is an awesome cruiser - had it 9 years......that tells you something.

The ride of the m5 is very compliant - comfortable but well controlled - all good for Chch roads. Go for it! They are consummate mile munchers.......surf the wave of torque and head into the sunset........some great memories of central north island mile munching..........I love it as an all round package.

It also has 18 inch wheels and the ride is plush.......make sure it has the right profile tyres - 50 from memory -

I have an e38 2001 with the 2.8 and it has been great. Had for over 8 years and can't bring myself to sell it. Get one with edc suspension and they handle pretty well for a big car. It will lift its skirts and go quite quick when you want it to. Superb cruiser - just find one that has lots of maintenance history. -

No - it did go through Jerry Clayton's for servicing and one change of ownership.

Deal done. Car now in my hands and looking forward to connecting up with likeminds here. The car has been owned by one person for 95% of its life so nice to find a relatively low mileage car that hasn't been thrashed. Needs a top to toe clean though.......

Long term lurker......maybe soon to be more active. Current car is e38 7 series and if all goes well one more numeral added to the e..... Been M5 hunting for a long time and tomorrow may usher in new heights of mechaphillia........
