  4. Possibly? I bought 2 sets, but decided on using the ones pictures
  5. Thanks Dave, im just trying to finish the last bit of nancey wiring, merging digital and analog systems together is quite mind numbing, but hoping to have that finished this weekend, then get it started. Once its started I can get the drive shafts made up and then take it for a test drive haha The ute is coming along very slowly, they guy helping with the welding of the rear sail and restructuring of the chassis, is taking his sweet as time, so I might actually look at hiring someone else with decent fabrication skills to get the beats done. I have some new progress photos to upload, so ill do it this weekend
  6. I can probably modify them to fit a wheel sensor. I just don't want to cut a set up during the airbag suspension install and realise ive made a complete cock up and have to get another set quickly, so I was thinking id just get a second set and cut that up :-)
  7. As per title, after some front and rear struts off the ol E28. Don't need springs and if the struts are damaged, I mat still be able to use them. Preferably Fronts off an ABS E28. thanks,
  8. Actually that's a coffee table for a cafe client of mine haha But a pallet roof rack thinky is a brilliant idea ?
  9. Well after a few months of on and off with working on the old boy, I managed to get a solid week in for the wiring (massive massive task). Basically everything is now controlled through the LCM / ABS and GMIII There are a few things left to do wiring side, - Get the Fuel Sender (E28 side) to talk to the E38 IKE. Cant really find much information on how the fuel level signal is handled on the E38 IKE / CAN / DME - Figure out how to get the Speedo Sensor in the E28 Diff to talk to the ABS Unit for speedo reading. Failing that I will have to bite the bullet and try find the ABS wheel hubs for the E28 and stick in E38 sensors If all goes to plan this week, ill be in a position to fire it up Managed to get the 17" BBS off an E36 installed, they fit. No rubbing on the inner guards or struts etc. Got some roof racks too, they will suit the roof rack system quite well Started fabrication on the air ride struts, just need remove the cars struts or get some second hand ones somewhere for a reasonable price. Once the car is confirmed to be starting (end of the week) then I can get the driveshaft and exhaust fabricated
  10. As per the title, does anyone know where the reverse signal is generated from on a 2000 E38 735? Its for the Rusta project that I have 99% completed the wiring up, and the E28 Chassis has a the reverse lights but the E38 LCM does not have an output for reverse. Im told it make come off the IKE / Cluster, PIN 25, but PIN 25 is blank, so I will try connecting a wire into this and test it today. However, I would like to find another point of reverse signal if PIN 25 doesn't work out. thanks heaps
  11. Thanks Paul, im also after a set, ive made contact with the seller in one of your suggestions above :-)
  12. I have that button for the front drivers door, actually its the whole unit.
  13. Haha oh, forgot to mention, its 2500lbs of pure M50 propulsion
  14. yea it is, especially since it is my first track car ive built / owned. But having 3 other project cars, plus a baby on the way and a business that is taking up more and more time, something has to give and unfortunately its this :-(
  15. Yea space is the issue, so id be wanting to sell the whole car, rather then start stripping parts off and having to deal with a chassis that cant really move. From memory, Speedfactor had the pads and rotors the same part numbers as the 325 / 328
  16. So after a very long and hard thinking stage, I have decided that I will have to sell this lil beasty due to a growing business, growing family and other projects, I wont have any time over the next year or two to race. I had thought about storing the car for a sunny day when I may be able to track it, but I just don't have the space now after buying two company cars. The link below is to the project build, but there are still a few things needed before being able to track, - Race Seat(s) - Rocket cover may need replacing. I have removed it and it seems fine, but slight oil leak coming from the back - Windscreen needs replacing, but I have a spare that will come with the car, best to be done after roll cage as the existing screen will more then likely be removed - Possible track tyres, the ones on at the moment are not the best for racing - Front right window needs to be reset, but I will probably do this over the next week or two https://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/52092-e36-track-car/ All the parts I have put into and onto the car are brand new with approx. 100 meters of drive time on them. Parts include - XYZ Custom Built suspension from Speed Factor. Build for the track - Ultimate HeavyDuty clutch kit, with lighten flywheel and pressure plate, also from the lads at XYZ - Slotted rotors and Hawk race Pads up front, with high heat resistant brake fluid and new master cylinder from Sterlings - Getrag 220 gearbox - Leather 14" Race steering wheel and "boss" kit - Keyless ignition, push start button - Almost fully stripped interior - Heater system removed - Full Service with Full Synthetic Race Oil and Platinum NGK SparkPlugs - Pod Filter behind front headlight - Oil Breather Id like $7000, but then again I don't really know what a "market" price would be on it. So O.N.O applies. Feel free to come for a view and possible test drive - Ellerslie Area
  17. Not sure what they're worth, so $200 Ono or what ever the 'market' rate is. Good year tyres with atleast 90% tread. Wheels have seen better days but still look the business
  18. Would be perfect for ute 2.0
  19. Where abouts are you? yea Im directly opposite them. We should have a few beersies sometime soon and talk cars haha
  20. Haha me too, just taken over 132E
  21. Saw your car rolling past the new warehouse on Marua Rd the other day, looks good man
