Love that front, look aggressive

So started on the exhaust, pretty much 3" straight through. Pieces purchased from Autobend - 3m X 3" Mild Steel - 30' X 3" Bend - 2 X 2" into 3" Welding doesn't look the best, but it did the job. will be grinding them down for coating next week. Cant see any pin hole, but will do a pressure test this weekend. Need to trim the end piece off, it might be frowned upon to have almost a meter of pipe sticking out

Hey Man, can you up load a photo of the engine bay? I might be interested in the break booster system
-
Ahh, okay ill have a look this arvo for you
-
Yea can do. I'll look in the box if it's there. Do you have a pic so I know which is which? There are a few wee clips in the box that im not sure where they go

Managed to get the manual pedal box in last night. Bit of a nightmare actually, as I had to remove the entire control module with all its wiring, and then somehow manage to get the brake switch clip through the brake. All this was done with me lying upside down, bit of a head rush. Just waiting for the clutch kit now, so I can start getting everything back together and get it drivable again.

haha yes, Blair from Stirling is going to do a custom set up for me. Turns out him and my uncle are tool buddies. The one I have now is fine, but it has the clip in end and the kit came with a screw in hard line. So ill be getting a screw in cylinder with custom braided hoses. Youd think people that sell these conversion kits actually check this before selling, mind you I didn't check the kit when I picked it up either

Yea, the brakes on this are shocking tbh. Car hasn't got s brake pedal, so I'll probably grab one of Brent and then also swap everything I can from a donor when I get one. Current brake setup is 2 wooden blocks and a rock.
-
Haha yea this one actually is the other halfs idea, and she wants it for beach hop. But I only have 3 active projects now and they are progressing at a stable rate haha Cheers Brent, I don't think the E39 would be the best for this as I'll be needing the E34 brake booster system too. I suppose I could buy this seperately if your parts car is at a good purchase price Is the M60 cable throttle and in good running nik?

After a New Master Clutch Cylinder if anyone has one. The conversion kit a bought was sold with a busted cylinder. Might consider a used one if its really good condition. ECS has them for $60 USD plus shipping, but that means I have to wait.

So this turned up last night. Rolling E28 525i manual chassis. Still registered but no engine or running gear. So basically a blank canvas. Idea is to build a low and low budget rider for beach hop next year. Things I'll need to start looking at, - E34 540, complete car. Preferably decent engine and running gear, chassis can be in crap condition as I'll Land up scrapping it. The cheaper the better - Either full adjustables or possibly air bags for as low as possible. - 17" BBS mesh or similar. - E28 lower front bumper But for now I'll start letting the 'paint' job set in after stripping the car down this up coming week

Been a busy few nights, got the new Hawk race pads done, installed my new XYZ full race spec coil overs (will have to get these set up a someone with more knowledge on them) and then dropped the auto gear box making ready for manual conversion as soon as my stage 2 clutch kit arrives.

Sorted, Thanks. Autobend have some @ $70 for 3m

I'm about to pull mine off, you can have it if you like. Or it's going into the skip -
Haha sorry, my South African terminology. Exhaust tubing is what I'm after. Where in Hamilton are you based? I can probably take a drive down some night this week.
-
Preferably around 1.5 - 2 meters stainless steel
-
Could be keen on the wheel for the new project, will need to have a look at sizing first this when the car arrives, but definitely keen
-
Yea pretty firm on the $1k. It's going to be for another project, so the cheaper the better really. The appearance will change quite a bit on what ever car I get, but I'll PM you and you can flick through some pics
-
WTB E28 / E30. $1k and under. Not worried about condition, but must be drive able. Auckland area or near by ??✌?
-
Just after the upper part of the box
-
Front disks arrived today. Hopefully the suspension and rears arrive soon. Anyone have any recommendations on race pads?
-
Did some weight reduction today, mud flap delete, lightened steering wheel Also got the car up on stilts for the new suspension and break system. Waiting for the couriers is almost as bad as waiting for the wife to finish shopping
-
^^ apparently there is coffee there too
-
If no one wants these, ill be getting them repaired, ready for paint and put on trade me
