Want to Buy or Borrow New or Used, don't really mind.
-
I did, but it didn't make any difference on the 540 between DS and "Sports" like the sports icon appears, but it didn't really give the car that extra pounding like in the video. Might work better on the 525 or 530 as mentioned above. I built the "kit" for just under $15 with parts from JayCar and approx. 90 minutes of labour pulling the front dash panels and radio etc out

Are you sure? Everyone needs some light in their life during the Christmas season.
-
They are here if you want them, wiring look and all. Can't offer the Pita part tho haha
-
Clutch kit finally arrived. Should be installed and car should be drivable by end of the weekend. Then off for a roll cage and finishing up on the wiring and sound deadening removal.

Oh yea I tried some of those, started eating into the metal, but I did have to use some on the really thick layers, where the out body filler over 3 layers of paint and then sprayed 3 layers of paint ontop of that. I'll be sanding the rust back almost completely on a very hot day, so I can paint on the used motor oil from the utea M62

Flap Wheels? That's came out pretty well, mind you, I live in an area where noise is frowned upon. Might take a few hours on Friday to try this Flap Wheel business

32 man hours and 4L of paint stripper later, exterior is about half way done. Engine swap should happen in about 2 weeks Drive way full of bimmers compliment the lights too

Sweet, still keen
-
Haha this is true, but I doubt anyone would be going very far in a rolling chassis that has no engine ?
-
Ps what size wheels?
-
Ah sweet. Sold! I have some wheels you could borrow, they're off the E39 but should fit the E34

hahaha yep, only no 1JZ. Might chop the roof, but that's much later on. Oh and probably no shark teeth

Spent most of the week trying to get through 30+ years of paint and paint repair. So paint stripping is a slow slow process, but will get there by the time the car is ready for its engine conversion in 2 weeks (hopefully) Oxidisation is coming along nicely, will let it sit for a few days and then give it a light sand and some treatment.
-
So bought an E38 735 donor last night, will be stripping the running gear out and then probably keep the rolling chassis for 2 weeks for anyone who wants any parts, then will head to the scrappies. Also started on the paint stripping, takes some time, but way better then sanding.. Will spend the rest of the week getting the exterior paint removed

Facebook says $200, so BS should be around $120. ?
-
Do you have a pic of the AMP? I have 2 that were about to get thrown away this weekend. You're more then welcome to have them
-
Not sure if this will help, it's from one of my manuals
-
With the E39 the audio runs through the main control unit, i.e. The Ibus / k-bus. I had something similar when I installed the aftermarket stereo in the E39, was static with almost no sound. Replaced the general control module with the donor car and it started working perfectly, even on the M3 steering wheel

Zento or something. Bought them off trade me, they seem to have good feedback for the entry level races. They are the stick 286 replacement size, as if I was to upgrade to bigger, I'd have to change the tears too....apparently. But we will see how they perform

Got a chance in this scortcha to strip some of the exterior panels down making ready for a full b!tch of a job called 'paint stripping' Noticed a few rust spots that need to be sorted, but might add to the look I'll be going for Will clean all these up and paint the brackets and grills matte black Then started on the birds nest, thinking I might pull this all out and replace as much as I can from the donor when I get it, hopefully Sunday or Monday.

Thanks man, i don't think this one will fit. As I need the remote installed one that sits behind the headlights. Looks like it's only the 540s that have them
