  1. Hey Brent. Is this still coded to CCC Japan? Or has hit been converted to NZ?
  2. You should be able to flash the CIC. We've just done the Jap to Occianic conversion on my mates 2013 335i. If you go to www.bmw.com/update then just under the main image that appears, is a box to enter your VIN number (the last 7 digits) once you select that, it will show you the updates available for your car, select the Occianic update and download this to a flash USB drive. (Make sure it's formatted as FAT32) Now I'm not 100% sure where your maintenance USB port is, the 335i was in the centre console under the arm rest. Once you plug the USB, go to your Idrive menu and under settings, select the update option and that should update the idrive radio to allow you to select from NZ radio frequencies. I haven't managed to figure out the GPS and maps yet in CIC, but il currently doing the conversion on my CCC through the OBD port and special software. The above was for the F30, so not sure if it will actually work on your E9x
  3. Engine and running gear will be completely removed over the next week, then will leave the car for a week for people keen on parts or whole car. After that it's going to the wreckers Parts I'm keeping, Complete engine with gear box, wiring loom, ecu, complete front axel incl sub frame, suspension, brakes etc and exhaust. Will also keep the front seats, rear carpet and bonnet. Everything else available, not gonna make a big deal on pricing as I'm not to fased. So let me know what you need before I scrap it. Whole car for $500 after I take what I need. Reg still live, wof not too sure. All electrics incl sunroof are working. Interior bits are in good nic too, but I'll get some pics up tomorrow.
  4. Haha yep, need to cut it today and then dip it in hot plastic. I have the shape and size from The Motorola besil, so just going off that. Tested the wires this morning, they all function as expected
  5. Haha nah that's the monthly cruiser
  6. Started on the radio mods today, need to finish off the moulding and will get all the wires plugged in tomorrow for hands free and music play back
  7. Rear sail almost done. A few final touch ups and then mounting the stop light.
  8. Haha yea me too. Also had E69 ER
  9. Yea, I have received a few quotes and agreed. I figured out how to do it, just waiting on my SSS/progman to be sent to me. Then will have a crack at it
  10. My mate came up with a PP today, kinda catchy
  11. Apparently, (on mine atleast) when you put it into manual mode, its not 100% sports. Its obviously quicker and some setting of the car change. There is a "hidden" Full Sports mode on these that initiates when you hit the sport button. I haven't got the sport button, but I have the wiring for it attached to the rear of the control unit under the CCC - Pin8 and Pin10 on plug3. When I connected a switch button to the wiring, it fired up the "Sport" display on the dash (this doesn't light up in manual mode, it only shows DS) and I could feel the car was a lot quicker to respond and even the suspension was firmer, even in manual mode hitting the switch button makes it more responsive. BUT, its not a nice looking switch button and I love the look of the one I want.
  12. Cheers. I'll have a look at them and see if I like what they have
  13. Okay, so finally found the correct part number of the one I want, 61319142869. However, BMW want between $150 and $200 then shipping from Germany. But Turner or ECS have them for $80USD plus shipping. Guess ill have to order and wait
  14. Thanks, yea im looking on Ebay at the moment. Doesn't have to look exactly like that, but similar. Will continue to check ebay or contact one of our wreckers
  15. What sort of pricing are we talking for Full conversion? My E60 is running Jap setup and wanting the NAV and Radio changed to NZ. Its CCC
  16. Ps that's a good looking E60
  17. I actually had a dark green E34 535i manual myself about 4 years ago. I really enjoyed that car, but I missed the E39s and their ways, but that's just me. Everyone has their own opinions about cars, but at the end of the day, it will be you that will be driving it, so chose what you feel is the one and even the non Motorsport E60s can be tuned nicely. I've spent all day on emails and phones to various BMW tuners and owners in regards to easy modifications for the E60, so if you chose that, I can send you some decent reading
  18. I have several E39s atm and I love them all, every aspect of them. However, The E60 I got yesterday is just awesome, on a whole other level. I would go with the E60, but make sure you have it looked at by the AA before purchasing as I've been told several times some of the Asian imports have a few electric issues, but not all. Either way, I'm sure you'd be happy with what ever you decide on.
  19. Anyone have a button labelled 'Sports' , perhaps out of a M3 or M5? Similar to the one pictured?
  20. Ah yes, I know the lads at AG, well not like know know, but dealt with them before. Might take a drive out to them. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Yea, gonna look for someone to do it tomorrow
  22. Picked up beasty today. A different kind of machine it is. Love it! Parked up next to its Daddio to compare. Needs some audio and sat nav sorted tho
  23. New front bumper arrived. Looking the business so far
  24. $23k for the car but then mechanical warranty and some other bits pushed it to $24.
  25. Yep, 540. Wanted the 545 they had, but was sold yesterday. This seems to be well nice tho
