What steering wheel is it? Such a nice car tho
-
Ill give you at least $20 for your flywheel, plus a coffee if you come to the next coffee meet. $20 + a coffee = M20 flywheel
-
haha thanks man. Yes its coming along nicely now with having afternoons off to do some fabrication. And its always great motivation having positive feedback from fellow forum members, because sometimes it can seem that weeks go by and there hasn't been much progress, so the motivation is good

Haha unfortunately, I am the residential dish washer and the boss is my 6 year old son. But I did land up using a heavy duty scrubber, degreaser and water blaster, cleaned them covers up good. Just need to sand down the flaky paint so I can get it coated. probably in a sand stone texture and gun metal grey

I think they might be the same, I spoke to the blaster this morning and he also said he has had some rocker covers crack under blasting, so im going to go soak them in heavy duty degreaser for a few days and then water blast at home.

Haha yea I saw this in Perth 2 years ago and always wanted to do it. But obviously my fabrication skills and budget don't compare. But hopefully it comes out okay.

Thought I'd start on the rear cabin wall trim. Took some trimming, but got the shape done. Now to just style it up a little.

Just buy a motor sport M5 badge and add your number 2 to the end? -
Not sure yet, will have to have a look as I install it. From the user manual, this will bypass the EWS, but I will have to research the steering lock. Might look at removing it completely when I take out the ignition barrel. Security on the advanced key unit seems pretty good, but I have another 'secret' security step that won't allow the engine or electrics to be started in case of theft. But let's hope we don't get any sneaky thieving thiefs

Cheers fellas, been a busy few weeks. Hoping to have all the body work finished and prepped for paint by the end of the month. Have also decided on the colour, going for the new BMW i8 blue/grey, but a little darker...
