try on the dtmpower.net forums ..... they have a shitload of users, so that would, if anywhere, get you underway.... gotta probably factor in for new mains, bigends, gudgeons, blah blah blah, let alone any machining (lineboring mains, rebore cylinders balh blah blah).... so yeah, at least you're going a decent way about it... I think brent has a 2.7 sitting up there maybe? that + your parts would probably build up something decent, and you'd be able to play with that 2 litre head to get it flowing - perhaps a winters night project - die grinder in front of the fire :mosh:

where does this "low down torque" end???? I myself would leave it as is.... low end revs end at like 60kph in top gear, whats the point in losing top end for that.... no asthmatic top end pwns all, thats what mad vt@k style launches are for hahah...... but yeah, cam would make a diffrence, you would perhaps gain torque with some backpressure maybe??? hrrrmm, dyno run would be good to compare the differencde between the two cars, then see if you still care

cant replace just glass... get hella e30 replacement... p/no: 1K3126680001 go chur one from a twl or something, if you rule, like myself, you should be able to wing up to 45% off retail discount I saw some replacement "long range" main beam inserts in there once, if you're keen for buying two then I'd imagine they would be a good investment...

word, I reckon just get a 325i engine, or a crashed/rusty 325i car for the money it seems you will have to spend to get a wreck, you'll have to spend that on headbolts, gasket kit, blah blah blah, then you have to get a loom and ecu from a motronic, and get it all sorted and hooked up if you can't do it yourself.... plus find a gearbox, relevant crossmembers and driveshafts if required, bigger radiator (i imagine),6cyl tacho dash and all the little other bits and pieces you never really think about that a donor car supplies at no real cost, all the while selling bits you dont need to fund a small part of it...
