The time has come to start a project so the mighty M5 is for sale: 1990 E34 M5, NZ New, 245K, Macau Blue, Full History from new. Interior: Full light grey leather in good condition with usual wear but no cuts or rips. Both front door cards slightly delaminated. Factory radio with 10 stack in the boot. Body: Really good body wise - nice and straight. Good paint with only a few stone chips. Wheels have been refurbished. Tyres are Dunlop Sport Maxx 235/45/17 with good tread left. Engine: Is really strong and doesn't rattle. New timing chain done by Ernst at Bavarian 2 years ago. All cooling system hoses and drive belts are near new. Gearbox is really good and changes well. Has a short shift kit installed but the original lever will go with the car. I have owned this wonderful machine for 7 years and will be sorry to see it go but, it is time to move on. Price is $15K negotiable. Call me on 0275 335 330 to discuss. Photos will be posted soon. Photos....

MartynCheck out the red 318is on TM at the moment - perfect for racing around Welly.
-
If your car is a genuine M5 then you have the wheels - you can buy the stars and centre caps from BMW or from BMA in Los Angeles.
-
The numbers mean it is out of an E30 323i - very similar ratios to the overdrive box the yanks specified for the E30M3. GL with the sale Mike.

My car runs 235/45/17 all round but there is an optional 9" rim for the rear and as Graham states it is designed to run a 255 tyre. I find the car handles well as is but does understeer when pushed. A mod to dial out understeer is to fit the thicker rear swaybar from an E34M5 Touring.

Thanks Paul - I'm just waiting for Pies to get back to me with some numbers off the bellhousing.

Moe. That car was built by Andy Culpin at Race FX. He may have some good info for you even though the motor and box are ex E39M5.
-
Believe it or not there is one of these in Australia and the conversion looks factory it is so good. The car was featured in one of the pom BMW mags a couple of years ago.
-
Hey Nath, How did you get on? Is it still hesitating?
-

-
Fair enough - good luck with the sale.

Hey JeremySorry to burst the bubble but without a WOF that car is worth $750 tops.
