    Interesting that Dave. Mine is full euro spec with dog leg box, side repeaters on front guards. Plaque in engine bay just says BMW Germany etc. Car is from Japan but have no idea of history.

    I used Coombes Tauranga almost exclusively for the parts to restore the M3. Sadly Leanne left them so Fabian in Hamilton is the man - brilliant to deal with and great knowledge.

    Know what you mean Paul - still miss the bloody thing and I sold it ages ago. This 530d is something else though - had it remapped in UK before importing and the torque is incredible. Easily quicker than the M5 and all at 6.9L/100km.

    I would like the driveshaft, rear bumper and the rear number plate surround. Can get them picked up.

    Jon - Try Ric Michels on 0274342018. He is from the deep south and owns the Diet Coke M3. Has been playing with M3s for years. Have to be patient as he can be hard to contact at times.

    Yes Jon I have a really nice NZ new E30 320i SE manual in red. It has 270xxx kms so a bit tired. An M20B25 drops straight in even with the 240 gearbox. I'm not sure if the M50 will mate to the current box. If it does then Geoff and I will have a serious chat.

    Thanks Geoff - my preference at this stage is an M20 because I know my way around them. Will keep you in mind though and will have a yap at Puke next weekend. Will keep you in mind to Jon, thank you. Do you need any bits to get the S14 running?

    Dan. Shuey bought an 05 530d M'Sport with 178,000 and it goes like a rocket. Towed his race car to Taupo and back no problems. They are a great car, but then I would say that!!!! Mine is something else again in the performance stakes as I had it remapped in the UK before importing. The performance I staggering for a diesel.
