  1. There a rain coat, everywhere a rain coat Slip and Slide's are cool.
  2. As a basic formula that works, most people would consider $300 an ultra mega expensive tyre and $300 will buy a safe tyre that is more than adequate for your average Joe. It doesn’t always work though, because of where we are on this planet and what the main importers bring in, two tyres that may cost the same in Europe may be separated 100% in our market, the Michelin Pilot Sport vs the Dunlop Sport Max for example, these tyres are as good as each other and price reflects that in European markets but over here you will pay double for the Michelin. Works in reverse too, we are lucky to get Toyo’s for cheap in NZ, they are a lot more expensive in Europe, does that make them a better tyre in Europe? If the performance aspect of a tyre (grip and steering feel) is all that’s looked at I can assure you the likes of the Dunlop, Goodyear and Toyo produce economical tyres that will perform or outperform the likes of the expensive but equally rated Continental, Michelin or Pirelli. The expensive tyre will often excel in combining the performance aspects with reduced noise and improved ride and tyre life, in saying that I have seen $1,000+ a corner Continentals only last 8,000km, that’s akin of a track tyre. I have read and experienced this with the likes of Pirelli whose tyres often fail to put down real life figures in extensive testing and often fall behind Bridgestone, Michelin and Goodyear etc. Getting a road car on road tyres out on a track for shits and giggles will quickly show what a tyre is made of, while not applicable to most roads it is still a good test of raw performance. I run Pirelli’s now due to a good deal I was offered on them in my desired size and performance rating, they are coined as Pirelli’s most confident tyre on a track outside of their ultra expensive track tyres and with 100% honesty I can say they are no better in terms of ultimate performance than the Dunlop’s.

    RaceFX M3 GTR Race Car

was my fave at the show also. shame the bmw car club was absent this year.
  4. Im not a tyre pro, I just posted what I have found over the years driving on different tyres on different vehicles. A tyre can not be judged on cost. What top of the line Pirelli's did you have? The top Pirelli costs over 2k per corner is all, not many people spend a cars value on rubber.

Thanks Sniffpetrol, I have a new come back for when im defending the Megane. Your missus has an unusual ass but you don’t hear me going on about it.
  6. We assume you have consummated things so whets the big deal? Most Kiwi chicks I have dated are stoked if you buy them cosmopolitan and notice that they got their hair cut.. Im stoked if I can get them to drink two cosmo’s.

    1988 E30 Touring

It’s a pain isn’t it.. so tempted to get some less practical wheels and slam mine but I think the practicality and driver enjoyment outweighs the benefits of making it look fully sick.. Would be cool if there was an option to have it slammed when you want but still drive well when need be. Either way those wheels and that stance looks staunch as, so tempted to get some 16x9's for mine and go lower.

    Thanks. Will be in touch.
  11. 10 Points. Mean skid. In this occasion it would have been ok to use your rear fog lights. Any V8's there??

    E30 325i diff.

Looking for the ratio that suits a 5-speed, don’t want LSD or anything fancy, M25 dont have the gusto to need one. It appears that there are 34,625 different types of diff for an E30. Am I best to remove my current one and take pictures to show what type I need? Cheers Graham

    Don't you hate...

Hate it when your diff blows unprovoked
  14. I know, I know.. You must admit he is doing well for a 18yo.
  15. Nice, yea best put in the effort boy! You gotta think 100% as romantic as you can be and then take it back to 75%, gotta have the full monty in reserve just in case. I struggle with anniversary’s and what not as we go out for dinner most nights of the week, travel overseas all the time and im constantly buying her awesome stuff like cars, tyres and limited slip differentials, you know, the normal stuff.. so when it comes to special times im like meh, I just brought you a LSD what do you expect?? She is always wanting jewellery also, now I brought her an engagement and weeding ring that cost more than the E30 so im like you’ve had your altercation for a long time…funny they don’t see it that way. Also, you have to make the proposal the most romantic thing ever, this is great if you are getting married straight away (once that’s done you can relax, romance is running at quarter of a tank) but if you are having an eternal engagement period its tough yaka keeping things at that level the proposal raised things too..
  16. She must be hot. Lots of effort going on there. good luck.
  17. I feel you may be turning into an American Grant If the kit was removed and the car was red id dig it.

    Cool Frog

Frog! Lol, was at that trackday and to be honest that car is quite bloody quick... would need a long straight to pass her in the Megane. It handled like jelly though and lap times were not as quick some of the cars they claim to have maimed.
  20. Just offer him $100 cash That fair I would say.
  21. A f**king munted genuine PF/L M325i parked outside of McEntee Hire in Papakura, poor bloody car.
