Its just a old MK2 Golf I could slam my dish washer on widened wheels and it would look awesome…. I don’t think she would approve though, a bit mechi. Im going to Rat my Corolla one day, I have started on the rust applications already.

My old girls for sale, feel free to make comment on the price, it’s a free bump up the FS section before it reaches cut off. They don’t have to, they are bigger, older and wiser... Plus letting them smash into you is an excellent way to meet Cougars.

My 2c. Have had several tint jobs done by Tinta-Car in Manukau and the standard was fantastic, was closer to $500 but well worth it. A mate had his Commodore done there ten years ago and the tints still look as good as new. Missus said she would have my wagon tinted for Christmas a few years back and took it to Tintz in Manukau instead of Tinta-Car as she couldn’t find the place, what a mistake, the job was akin of a home job, bubbles and dirt mark between the tint and the glass, we went back and they re did it but it was still crap so we gave up.. so then a few months later we went for a WOF and failed because they were to dark, the G’s that run the show (if it’s still running) couldn’t have cared less. -10 wouldn’t trade again.

Air Cooled is well, Cooler. Want more Golfs??

Unless you are buying Michelin or Pirelli, they are twice the price as say a Dunlop or Toyo but are not noticeable better. Also, AWD would actually show tyres weakness before a 2wd drive car.
-
I have grown up admiring hot hatches, they make a lot of sense as a performance car, its 100% practical and yet is as much fun and as fast or faster than a coupe or performance sedan. Driving one quickly had me forgetting it looks different than a awesome looking Corolla or Mazda 3

He listed it wrong, its 772.

You have a nice Turbo Twin Cam E30, more than most. Good luck with your sale.
-
Yep, and in essence they are the best of the lot! I actually think 28k is a bit high but good on him for trying, I bet he got it at Turners for 24-25 last week.
-
Was it this one at Turners Crokett?? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=241400086 Shame someone pulled the F1 stickers off and its missing the front lip, bet he called Renault and realised what they are worth. That TTEETT guy knows his sh*t

Very nice, looks sh*t hot you don’t muck around!! Your manual conversion is my favourite mod so far, must have changed the whole dynamic of the car. Where did you get that nice M-shifter?
-
Do a search Blackie, a few cars on here with them
-
Oh yea!!! Im going to buy it, sell up and move to the Great Barrier Island, grow a beard and live on baked beans so I can dedicate a year to GT5. Cant wait, I still crank GT4 FFS. Good luck Jib.

Welcome to Bimmersport, good to see you have found why BMW’s are held in high regarded, most people don’t understand until they have owned one. Looking at your list its no surprise you are happy, the Nissan’s aside it looks like you have had a few of the best mediocre cars available. What engine did the EXA run? I assumes it as a CA16, A friend of mine had one when we were teens and his went quite well, didn’t realise they had that much power, that’s near a stock SR20’s power.
-
As in photo. Yes. But seeming you are fitting a V8 and some decent sized brakes to fill in those wheels I think you’ll be ok Maybe noy the M decal
-
Nice photo’s! Did you do the editing, nice and smooth. If we are ever at a meet I think we should swap wheels on one side and do a couple of random twin photo’s, make a retro brochure Also, clear fronts and sides look really good in the steel, I put off doing it for ages but now wish I had done it sooner, it’s a good cheap mod and looks really good on the silver.
-
So they were running the speakers off an aftermarket head deck?? Often people bypass the factory amp as it has less power than a modern head deck . Good work can’t wait for pictures.

I would spend 20k on one but your average Joe wouldn’t. Blame. Japanese Imports. Flooding the market and dropping the resale values of NZ cars, in Ausi you could ask near 30k. A different generation of people (your target audience) don’t care if a car is NZ new. Maintenance and Running costs. Not only is it an expensive to fix Euro it’s an M-Car, BMW. For offering the exact same kit on 318i’s in 1996 lessening the appeal of the M3 The year. Mid 90’s coupes are a bit, well mid nineties, nothing else from the 90’s is fashionable either. Bad time for 90's cars. The Economy. Lots of people have pulled the purse strings very tight. Obviously The time of year, come summer people will be buying cars Older M3’s are rarer and desirable, they have good racing pedigree and they also look a lot different than a stock E30. I would say tidy E36 M3’s will get down to the low teens, the sh*t ones will all be scraped and the good ones will equalise and then slowing start climbing up in cost, I think buying one now as a long term car would be a sound investment. Same thing happened with a lot of the 80’s classics. As Crazyarab sais, brighter days will be comming.

17k is a lot for a car that is 15 years old.
-
I have Fake Carbon wipers, they are so light and fast.
-
Yep, like them a lot, prefer the Hatchback to the sedan.. One thing I thought strange about them is the top spek SIR had hub caps and steel wheels stock, almost as if they knew people would swap out the stock wheels no matter what. It’s funny how some BMW drivers are mocking Honda’s, if BMW were a Japanese company they would be Honda, so many things both companies have in common. ... but I can see why we all hate that guy who holds his car just off V-Tec next to you and then slams it engaging V-TEC like some king of turrets explosion all over Layton’s face
-
The Altezza came out in 1998. Its 2009, how can people still think that is a good idea.
-
It costs more to keep a Euro car factory mint than it does to modify. Tilted number plates are like wearing your cap to the side, its super cool. Just got back from a 7 hour drive in my POS FWD, would not have been able to keep easy pace in any RWD I have driven

I can’t find any info on it but they did do a Gen 1 VR4 AMG, it was one of the last cars and biased on the “super†VR4, it was Black, had Black and silver wheels and specific AMG steering wheel, bagging and other aesthetics, it wasn’t mechanically any different than a regular “super†VR4.

I know your making a profit, the "blowing smoke" remark made me think you were maybe selling them as a favour! Im sure once we all see one fitted and have a review more will commit.
