Have seen a nice E39 written off for the same reason.. Lots of them dying due to cost of engine repairs/replacements.

Mine came on three laps into a track day, lasted 20 or so more laps out of them but they were quite f**ked. So my answer, 20 easy laps at Pukekohe or 2-3mm of compound. Account for new sensors when you do the job, they come in handy.

2E Corolla's rock my world. Good to see this coming along, for some reason I thought you were going 2JZ-GTE but the GE will be all good for skids, they still have 170 odd KW and a solid 300NM.

Parts: Euroitalian are fantastic, needed a part, called BMW, was quoted 200+, called Euroitalian and he had the part in stock, after Bimmersport discount 88+GST, was at the Mechanics the next morning, he made it straight forward and didn’t need ten chassis codes and a birth certificate like BMW do. Good luck with your car, lucky good stuff that a few bushes have been done, some new shocks and springs will sort it out nicely.

That Pink Mercedes from "da south" ( ) is actually quite impressive, would have had more spent on the paint than most of our cars are worth, if it’s the one im thinking of, its driven by a very tasty young lass. This one!!!

Nice feedback, it was bucketing down from the looks of the photos, were they worn in much? Im seriously considering a set as a “spare set†for track days, unfortunately id need to have them swapped on to my 18â€â€™s every time, which would be a pain in the ars. A lot of R26 owners in the UK run the Toyo 888 as an everyday tyre but are only averaging 3,000miles a set and are said to be squeamish in the wet on the road, Toyo do a tyre called a R1R that looks like a good compromise between the T1R and 888, would be ideal for someone like me that enjoys a bit of track and road work but needs it as an everyday commuter also.

Go the Z3 Veilside loss. I remember when those kits were awesome and people would pay 10k for one.. Very Supra had/has one.

Paid $900 for mine, this is what a parts place would charge. If it’s running and you can show that it is in good nick I would start the bidding at $600.
