Good tip, haven’t heard that one before! I was told to use a metal polish but can recommend no one tries it as I wrecked my headlight! As said a light cut like T-CUT should do a good job followed up with a polish. The key ingredient is elbow grease. Im keen to try that Plastic X from Meguiars as their scratch X for body work is fantastic.

He said 'torsion bar rear end’, of which the Astra did not have. Only way I could get mine sideways was under very heavy breaking. Anyone who is writing about something in a publication should get things write, he has probably never driven an Astra and knows nothing about them. It’s not just the Torsion comment it’s the fact he has a link to a car that’s not even a VXR.. Not that it bothers me as I sold it! Yawn **falls asleep thinking about Astra**

The 3.0 5-Speed is actually quite desirable as it’s tough as nails and a better car for racing. Id sooner a 3.0L 5-Speed than a 3.2 with auto manual. What’s with the “mutton dressed as lamb†wheels on this car ad who is MOD?

I understand the economics of it all. But traction control is not a substitute, I have driven lots of Holden’s with 250+kw and found them to be great, no loss of traction and no annoying traction control kicking in to make the driver head but the steering wheel on take off due to too much power overwhelming one wheel. Went for an awesome drive through Hunua on the weekend and ended up very frustrated with the TC killing the fun every time I powered out of a corner so I turned it off and the car just kept spinning one wheel slowing progress and wasting tire. If Holden and most of the Japanese companies can afford to fit LSD on cars costing half as much why can’t BMW? I can only imagine how gay a 335i would be to drive. At least throw them on the Motorsport cars.

Thanks have already looked into this. Looking at about $2,300 fitted. IMHO this is the only mod needed on the V8 five series, the open diff is its Achilles’ heel. I thought it had one, it’s not something you can generally test out on a test drive, majorly disappointed as it to me seems very dumb not fitting one, my old 1994 Holden SS had one FFS! Well pissed off with BMW! Sorry about the tread jack, its semi relevant.

Was just looking at a Hamann or AC rear lip spoiler as I don’t like the factory style. Am getting a few bits repainted as im fussy, I said to the painter I would like to have a rear spoiler painted also and he recommended getting one and doing the lot at once.

My old E39 did it, it would turn on and mist the windows.. had a mind of its own that car Im sure the E30 has a hamster on a wheel powering the Air-Con and doesn’t seem to actually do anything.. The E60 requires a masters degree to operate before choosing from about 12 settings for each zone as to where you want air blown.. but it’s still remains off if you want it off.
