Rev it to 6,000rpm and drop the clutch, it’s like a fricken bungee, that’s the only way my brother could pull off a low 14. He can only do that once every so often if he wants his gear box and drive train to stay in tack though! From a rolling start my car eats in until he hits his second turbo in third gear. Last seven I drove was very tired and drove like drunk elephant wearing crocks, had 200,000+ KMS on it though.

Good stuff, my brothers stock GTB must have some secret internal modifications then because it does the quarter in low 14’s witch I thought was quite quick! If GT-B's are so slow what does the 3.0L M3 do the quarter stock? Personally I hate the thing and I am in no way trying to compare it to a M3 in anything more than a drag race.

Nine out of ten of them are auto and poked and the manual one's even when running properly wallow about and have very little power until the second small turbo kicks in and even then its not much... The Facelift GT-B’s go well though and would Probably edge out a 3.0M3 with a big launch.

Thinking auto like yours would be worth $500-2500 depending on how good a sales man you are and how much the potential 15 year old girl wants it (the car that is). I sold my 85 NZ Toyota Corolla GT for $5,600 a few months back…

I hope they chase me, I love a good chase..might lead them down my favourite back road and see if they can keep up! The funniest I have seen was one trying to staunch me out..only I was in a moving vehicle and he was gangster limping across the street. 1300kg moving at 60kph vs 70kg at 1kph. Guess who was stauncher. Safe to say his limp was genuine after that. I don’t get there mentality at all and even in my rebellious teenage years never felt the need to try and staunch people (or cars) out. These little turds should be shot execution style.

Well shoot me dead, after 20 hours of total install and re install time it turns out It was the bloody head deck. I thought it was strange that I have done a similar install before and had no noise what so ever. I just shot down to the second hand shop and purchased old head deck and it sounds heaps better. Safe to say im well pissed off with Pioneer’s product. Thanks for all your suggestions and help guys.

^^^ ^^^Maybe just a sign reading "AEEAEEEAEEAEEAEEAEEAEEAEEAEEAEE!" would have been warning enough! I can’t believe no one warned the drivers and they just kept on filming!! Poor M3 not to mention the maiming of one of my favourites the Corolla GT (AE-86)

This is what I ran on my old car. Note the throttle on the intake side controlled the charger, the pipe coming out the side of the charger goes down to a front mount and comes back up the other side into the intake. It would obviously have to be switched around on a M20.

I would look at running an Eaton M45 system off a C-Class Mercedes. You’d need to fabricate a few bits and bobs like the throttle linkage, drive pully, Supercharger mount and pipes but it wouldn’t be too hard. To make it all work nicely I would get a piggy back ECU installed and tuned.

I would be grateful it has an auxiliary! The one in my Astra (Blaupunkt CD-40) doesn’t even have that and as the system runs threw canbus it is imposable (at this stage) to add one. The head unit also controls the trip computer and all info is displayed on the dash board screen so there really is few options. Astra: If I were you I would first find out the brand and model# of head unit then search for possible upgrades. I know Alpine and Blaupunkt do replacements units (even for the BF Falcon) that have RCA pre-outs and a whole host of advanced features so this may be your best bet.

If that’s the car im thinking of (it had white/Purple/blue/red rocker covers, 325iM Dash) it was for sale 10 years ago for the same price. If I had the money I wouldn’t think twice about perching a tidy car like that. The black car was first owned by Denny Hulme apparently.

I would say it’s worth whatever someone is willing to part with. I must agree with the majority and say the only E30 worth more than 20k would be a M3. I hear there is a black NZ new E30 M3 going for over nz60k at the moment.

I have three sets of RCA's and a power cable that splits before rear seats at which point the power and RCA leads meat to go through to the rear panels. I should have tested the sound with the car running before spending a day putting the entire interior back to gather. Left AMP Right AMP I had to run these cables together at this point as it is a wagon and there is nowhere else to run the cables.

I have recently hooked up a 4 channel amp to run my fronts and rears and am having problems with alternator noise threw the speakers. I have run the RCA leads as far from the Power cable as possible except where it re groups at the rear wheel arch and have earthed the Amp to the rear beam that runs under the tail light enclosures on the interior. Is alternator noise common on BMW’s as I have done similar set ups in other cars without a hitch? Is there a point in the back of the car in which you guys have had luck with grounding? Thanks

I don’t know but that’s the wheel on that’s on my car only the leather has come off. Is that your factory wheel? I need to find the part # for the MtecII wheel and then I can get a price. This is the desired wheel. Im not sure what model it came on as I have seen them on E34’s and E30 M3’s covered in either leather or suede on the M3 Evo

Thanks guys, I will give them a go. A guy in the USA has a couple of MtecII wheels on E-Bay, recovered hand stitched leather with the three M colours, NZ$500+ postage.

Having just sold a Momo as it was too small I am now looking for something factory but sporty to replace it, do E36 steering wheels fit?? What options are there? I like the M-Tec II wheel but it seems they are like rocking horse poo’s. The one on it is a non Mtec tri spoke that looks as if the leather has come off. Thanks
