Only Aussie smart enough to have emigrated to NZ

Welcome, the 735i goes surprisingly well. Enjoy. -
They are a sexy looking car for sure, the company is not doing so well though, even with all the grants and money they have received from investors they are bordering on bankruptcy and it is likely they will either die out or be purchased by the Chinese. I see Bob Lutz is planning on buying the rolling shells and fitting a Chevy V8 and conventional drive train to them, now that would be cool, think 4-door Corvette. Something else you may be interested in is the Tesla Model S, have been admiring these for a while and would love one, they have got it right and are selling well in LA. http://www.teslamotors.com/

twofiveflea. Do a skid bro, that's what these cars are good at, smoking tyres and making noises, gets all the bitches wet.

Have only heard good things, unfortunately I do to many kilometers a year to be covered, may be worth calling them to run over usage and mileage.

Because we have sh*t tones of money and the Jones have just upgraded to the new Q7 and brown is so hot right now... features? I have no idea how the I-Drive works on my 2011 model, as long as it looks flash I am happy. I am just jealous and want a brown one with free servicing and a 5 years warranty.

Interesting, I would have thought the Grey will always be more sort over as its instantly recognizable as a CSL vs the black that could be any other run of the mill M3. Either way the CSL will hold value over time, it may take a few years but it will surely go up in value, like any other collectible or lusted after model there will be a lull where the car looses some its appeal. For an insurance company it must be hard to see that a 10 year old BMW 3 series is still worth that money, perhaps talk to a classic car insurance company, someone more specialized in collectible cars. You cant do too many kms a year so it would probably be quite cheap to insure.

Was not implying anything other than you cant judge a book by its cover.

There is nothing bad about this video.

And some people have sh*t houses, no helicopter and a big 7 series...

Get a M5.

Does anyone know when this goes to air in NZ?

Have you tried STM in Wellington? They seem to be very good from all accounts I have had. That's a shame, there a lot of cowboy tuning shops out there, I have had run ins with a few local businesses, one chopped up my bumper and destroyed it to ft an inter-cooler that should have never fitted and another left rear struts loose. I have learned you get what you pay for and generally have to pay a lot to get a good job.

I'm guessing creative photography editing and nice lighting? But do tell us, how did you get your car like that?

If he E30 M3 is your dream car and you plan on keeping it forever, spend the money, if its not, sell it to someone like me who will do it properly!! Noting worse than a half arsed resto, it does no one any favors. I think it would be safe to say you need 20k to restore a E30 M3. Basically because race car. I stopped counting what my race car owes me years ago and I know it would be around the amount needed to buy a very nice fast and versatile fully built Group-N EVO or STI.

Telling a guy in Otara that his pride and joy is not to your liking is probably not advisable. You never know, he might think your cars are a bit vanilla

Spotted a few cars this last week, a E30 318Is at Hue Monroe's panel shop in Papakura, a mind 205 GTI around the corner. Spotted a Lux silver e30 325i SE on olive road in Penrose yesterday and swooned... actually thought about leaving a "if you ever want to sell call me"note. Spotted 23,000 90's and 00 BMW's and yawned.

My thoughts are that buying a one owner car like this is a good idea as the first owner could afford to fork out $120,000 to buy it new so in theory has the money to have it serviced at the dealer with OEM parts, its normally the second and third owners who buy the car for one third the new price and realize new replacement parts and dealer servicing is expensive so they skimp. That's only a theory though, on the flip side you find people who buy new and run the car into the ground thinking who cares, I am absorbing the depreciation, why save it for the next owner.

I met a dealer like this once, he had a car worth say 22k at the time listed for + 30k, it was a nice example in good condition in a nice colour with everything I wanted, so I offered him 25k. His response was "no thanks, its not a fish and it wont go rotten sitting on the yard" I went out and brought another car but kept following the car for sale on Trademe, near two years later he sold it for 18.5k just before his business disappeared. May be the same dealer That E46 on the OP has awesome wheels and tyres, would love them!

That would defeat the purpose of the suspension some what wouldn't it? The mechanical side of things should be reliable enough, well it should last the 120,000km this car is built to last for, its the electrical side that will be buggy over time. Kiwi roads are no worse than those in most other countries and seeing they will only sell half a dozen a year here I doubt they will be testing them. Most will be sold out side of Europe, good chink will be sold in China and the majority of the rest will be sold in America, both countries have rather average roads like ours, I don't know why it is Kiwi's think our roads are bad, perhaps they should do a bit of traveling! -
The South Auckland police do a good job, helping cleanse the gene pool one chase at a time.
