  1. Nice Steve, looks like you could knock the sh*t out of yourself doing that, spent a lot of time swimming there as a teenager and its a rough beach. I passed this onto a mate who lives in Onewhero and traverses the Port Waikato bar for fishing every other day.. think he may be trading the Yamaha dirt bike after seeing this, looks awesome. What's a good entry level ski worth?
  2. Risky running a RB without a intercooler.
  3. Personally I would recommend buying whatever car you want, you must know what you want, your left hand side testicle (union) will be talking to your heart (middle management) and relaying messages to the brain (CEO/CFO). But if you have to ask what people think and actually give a f**k you may be better off with this, will get mean street cred bro, bitches love E30's and Rotors. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-551023249.htm
  4. If I had the money I would buy the plate and throw it on a merc.
  5. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. If you want to go just contact them. I got invited to heaps of these things just because I am annoying Hey hey, even a Barkers suit is better looking and nicer on the inside than the pig faced BMW 1 series, Barkers Suits are great value too, something the 1 series is not!

    1990 205 GR For Sale

I'm not sure I would try, I don't in any of my cars, the clutch is not performance oriented and one of the drive shafts is clatery, its a good put around town car but it will sit at 70mph on the motorway or any back road and does not complain bout hills, it weights under 800kg so even though its a 1.4 it is actually quite fast and nimble.
  7. Selling my shopping trolly, have brought a Toyota Hiace as a new hack and this is surplus to needs and I need the parking space. Would make for a good learner car or general hack, goes well around town and is cheap to run. Brand new WOF, runs well. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-583907328.htm Looking for $1000, reserve on the auction is $500 Thanks Graham
  8. Was built for human burnout car and sponsored by V. http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10152448645180043 The car in the OP was likely done up as a promo for the game, looks like a nice job, I am going through re branding my race car at the moment and can assure you it is not cheap! Would almost be worth buying that car for a race project.

  10. You cant really compare an old 1st gen Mazda 6 with the latest BMW though, they are now onto the third generation of the Mazda 6 and it quite nice, the gutless engine is the real let down but the interior quality felt better than a 3 series, I sh*t you not, I drove a few on the weekend, the 2.5L CX5 is probably a better compromise. Looking at the F30 pricing, I could definitely see myself in a 328I Touring one day, would not buy new but a year old with a few options is appealing... or there is the Audi S4, a very well packaged car and good value at one year old.
  11. Awesome. I was looking at the one at concourse, was a strangely cool car, not cool like a Ferrari or Porsche, cool like a I-Phone or MacBook. Spotted a Melbourne Red E60 Motorsport tonight, was nice in that colour, not sure I have seen one before, had the LED tail lights so must have been a facelift.
  12. Would think something like this would be as fast as you could buy for 2k? New shocks and springs, strut bars and what ever else you can fit at it would be very fast. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-581585512.htm How would one go about proving what one paid for car and who would you have to prove it too? Say I was offered a fast MR2 for example? Would I need a receipt for 2k or less? What if it was 2k from a friend who wrote the receipt? Shame te excluded the FTO, my missus used to have one of these and they are very fast cars and sound amazing! http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-583117556.htm
  13. Lots of grey area's that I cant get my head around, also massive potential for cheating, sounds cool though. fastest car you could buy would be a Honda CRX SIR if you could find one, its not on the list but would decimate all with over night parts from Japan. Cant see why they would allow a Honda with V-Tec of a Toyota MR2 but not a FTO Mivec.. also missing Nissan Sylvia from that list.
  14. Its entirely possible we have different expectations but I didn't think the materials in the new F30 were anything special at all, could have been the spec, we drove the "edition 30" version what ever that is, was very meh, I was disappointed. One thing that shocked me was the size, physically its bigger than a E39. Another shock was that the back seat room is still very average. New engine was good, not as powerful or as fast as my current 2.0 Turbo but just as flexible, with a manual transmission, a LSD and a remap there is potential there. Interesting comparison with the old E39, great photo's too, thanks for sharing something different!
  15. The E39 was quite special when it come out, back when you could see why they cost so much and could feel the advanced engineering, I remember driving one for the first time, was new grounds in large car dynamics. The new product just leaves me feeling cold, nothing clever, nothing new, nothing special, nothing that would see me buying one over a Mazda costing half as much.
  16. Have seen it, Forum member Jamez is setting it up. Finding the right car is harder than first thought, I have a few idea's.
  17. I have x4 Nero's in my garden with potatoes growing in them, I can recommend them as a potato garden, bumper crop. As for being a good tyre, they are like Spaghetti from a tin, sounds good but in reality are nothing more than a old crappy product with a nice Italian name.

    Someone save it!

    Is his name Clark Proctor?
  19. The owner who listed it with photo's has moved overseas and the guy I met with was a middle man, he was non the wiser to the cars condition and is only helping out so not really his problem. I wish them luck with the sale.
  20. Its just a waste of peoples time, sure, use an old photo if you have nothing else but state its an old photo and price the car accordingly, the way this is pictured, priced and described you would expect it to be quite mint and enthusiast owned...or perhaps I am unreasonable and fussy? Going back to waiting patiently for a nice BMW to pop up for sale.
  21. Waste of time. The photo's look to have been taken years ago as the car is nowhere near as mint as it looks in those pictures. Why would you use old photo's to advertise a car? Don't get it.

Nice 205 GTI! Good luck with the sale, these must be hard to find in that good a nik.
  24. I value factory built, Motorsport, Touring, NZ new... the two pedals is not ideal but it will be a daily and I have other toys with three pedals so its not a deal breaker. Its a real shame that it had those funny wheels on it, a pain TBH. I wonder if those wheels are worth anything to anyone, seeing they fit Commodores and other cars I may get a few bucks for them on TM to help fund some nice OEM wheels. Anyone got any OEM BMW stagared E36 M3 Evolution wheels around they want to part with?
  25. I hope to have a look at this car on the weekend, have spoken with the guy selling it and he sounds very genuine, car has had a lot of money spent on it. I have not seen it so I'm not sure where I would think a reasonable offer would be, would have to account that I would be buying new wheels and selling the ones that are on it. Do we think somewhere around $8,500 would be reasonable?
