True, the Nissan costs 50k less and didn't use the launch control and the BMW didn't have 5 men in their 60's with golf clubs aboard! Maybe they should use the M6, both are flagship coups?
-
One of each for me please!! Or Nissan needs to build a 4-door GTR!
-
Do want. I still use my mechanical fang break but its not ideal. The Drift boys got it from the rally boys. Have always wanted a set up like that on my car but motorsports always eats the budget. Was quoted $850-1000 from E&H motors in Pukekohe.

Love your cars interior! Well specked, is it a later one?
-
I thought your "dakar" was a bit light Greg, remember asking you if it was Dakar. AFAIK the OP yellow is true Dakar. I think the OP car was the "press" car when the E36 launched in NZ.

Waiting until next weekend just become very difficult. Nice shots, thanks for sharing/teasing.

Should the M3 be running 235 on the front instead of 225, seems a bit narrow is all, I was sure the OEM were 235.

I need some advice on lowering my e30 Touring.
Apex replied to max's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Plus changing the shocks in the back of an E30 touring is possibly the most time consuming shock swap I have ever done, you have to remove most of the interior in the back and when you do finally have access to the towers you will find they were designed by Hitler... and then you have to put it back together again. If you do do it make sure you do the top hats at the same time, its not something you want to do twice. -

I had E30 low in the front, E36 low in the back, if you go E30 low in the back it will sack out more than the front and look like sh*t. This was a good height, could drive hard over anything without bump steer or bottoming out. -
Year after, 2014. Should be interesting! Fair point on all of them being on the back foot, of the top manufacturers I would like to think Renault would be quite good at building a Turbo engine given their history with Turbo's but as you say they will all be starting with a blank sheet. That's why F1 is awesome, its a test to show who are the best engineers in the world. Personally I would like to see Renault clime to number one engine builder of all time, looking at the fact they only started in the late 70's they are already the best manufacturer based on time in the sports, they should be in second place behind Ferrari after this season.
-
They are coming back next year AFAIK.
-
Why Honda? Would think of all the engine manufacturers in F1, Renault would have the upper hand TBH, they already run Renault Turbo 4's in GP3 and are already working on the next gen GP2 and F1 engines, of all manufacturers they have the most turbo experience, hell they were the first to originally go turbo! Mercedes have a long history with forced induction and all their roads cars will be Turbo before we know it. I think of the current crop Ferrari are going to struggle the most with Turbo technology. Will be interesting to see anyways. 2009 and 2010 were great but last season was a bit dull, lets hope 2012 is a good one!

Easy to do yourself, most trims are easy to remove on the E39, bit of masking tape on the chrome. Repco sell a product called "K&H Bumper & Trim Paint" and it is good stuff, no prime needed. I just used a plastic cleaner/degreaser and sprayed on. Good as new.
-
Looks rough. Would be easy enough to tidy up with elbow grease and a few late nights though, a good challenge and doable cheap enough. On second thoughts, would make a great donor car for a E30 project.

Have had no issues with mine swiping front to rear, they reset and read well, TBH I use a old pressure gauge anyway. Not sure if its bad luck or the tyres but we have had three punchers in 12,000km.

Have SC3 on the new Megane, best non motorsport tyre I have used, they are ultra quite and still deliver a sporty drive, especially in the wet, wet grip is outer worldly! There are better ultimate performance tyres out there but for daily driving and safe winter driving I'm defiantly keen to buy more when they die, should get 25,000km out of them swapping front to back. 2c

Renault Mégane RS Trophy sets FWD Nürburgring record
Apex replied to kinetik's topic in Other European Cars
Also, NZ Autocar, NZ's top car magazine just awarded it performance car of the year, over cars costing three times as much! Stoked! Can attest to its performance, I have lapped Hampton downs in mine in times that embarrass race cars, and this is an every day car that drives very well on the road! Im off for a drive. -

Nice video, FWD vs RWD, hot hatch vs traditional sports car. http://fwd.channel5.com/fifth-gear/videos/...port-265-trophy So glad I have one of these fantastic cars. -
Chris Bangle Appreciation! Loads of images!

I like his earlier work too, the Fiat Coupe is a cool looking car. The E60 looks quite nice too IMHO, loved my M-Sport E60, looked great, well to me it did, got heaps of hate on the road. -
I had not noticed that but i'm digging it even more now! Wonder if they will do a MGC (mega good countryman).

Reading mixed reviews on this new lux cruiser. Some say its a return to form from, others say its another in a long line of pigs, doesn't look that polarizing to me. http://www.netcarshow.com/bmw/2013-6-series_gran_coupe/

Out of interest who is target market these days?
-
Dodson's. Even Nissan send cars to him now GTR all day long for me, they are fast, f**king fast, they make an M3 feel like it has an engine fault and four space savers fitted.
-
Sounds good eh! Group buy?
-
Thanks for that, will wait for that then, lucky because I was about to buy the current model.
