  1. That car is a good price, in my experience with cars from Turners they are normally in slight need of attention, this may be a few thousand that a dealer is not prepared to spend on a car as it will eat into their profit margin. We had a good run with cars from Turners all and all, we knew we were not buying the best of the crop and expected minor faults be it new brakes or cosmetic scratches. Personally I would only buy a NZ BMW with a full service and inspection record with all boxes ticked and maintenance done as prescribed on time, would take a car with all paperwork and NZ new over a Jap car with half the KM's. This looks quite nice http://www.turners.co.nz/Vehicles/Pages/Ca...px?RefId=873333

    Need a runabout

I would say stay away from a Peugeot 205GTI for two reasons, firstly it won’t be cheap to keep going and will end up spending a bit of time off the road. Secondly, and I have seen this before, it will be too much fun and the E30 maybe neglected I would get an E30
  3. A friend met a guy who was on a forum that the owner of this car had a look at once and he said this car was brilliant. Im sure I have seen this car at Hampton and the owner seemed a really top sort. I could only dream of a car like this, unfortunately I would wreck it in about three weeks and not be able to afford to fix it.
  4. Orange e90 M3 lowered on black M5 wheels, carbon front lip, BMW Performance seats and drool all over it. What a car, I am in love.

    BMW Z4

That looks awesome. Those wheels really are the best option for any modern BMW. Looks like it was a decent drop for just lowering springs.
  6. I'll have that spare 3 series on the hoist that look like it has a difficult wheel lug.
  7. They look ok and are comfortable but having two airbags in each seat they weigh a bloody ton and would be hard to retro fit to anything else. Shame I cant export them, I would get good $$$ for them in Australia and have been offered it but they wont let them in as they are explosives, they-are writing off decent crashed R26's and the like because of the astronomical cost of new airbags.
  8. Have listed three times at low low cost and no interest, I bet a wrecker would want $500+ a bag if he were re selling them, you would think it would be worth buying the lot for a couple of hundred. I think I will just throw them on a fire if they are still there in a few months would rather burn them than give them to the vulcher wreckers I have spoken with, guy wouldn't even give me a couple of hundred for the lot
  9. Im trying to get rid of the airbags and seats from my Renaultsport Megane, seeing its striped out and caged I won’t be going back to OEM and would like to free up some space in my sheds for useful spares. Have called a round a few wreckers and they are not interested unless I give them to them, have phoned Renault approved repairers and they don’t want them.. I have. 2x OEM sports seats with anti submarine and side airbags. Steering wheel airbag unit. Passenger side airbag unit Full curtain airbags. I also have a lot of trim from inside the car including rear seats and carpets, hood liners etc. Can anyone thing of someone who may want to buy all this?? I don’t want a fortune and it seems a waist to throw them in the inorganic heap as they are very expensive new and the stuff is in great condition, could potentially save another car from being written off due to replacement air bag costs. Thoughts??
  10. Kids don't pay the bill.
  11. Keen to do this to mine. Is it easily done. How to?
  12. Would it still be a 750i or simply a Alpina B7. Im not sure how the Alpina thing works but calling it a 750i is confusing when a 750i is a 4.8.. thats confusing in itself. Agree that is a sharp price, a lot of car for the money
  13. If its 09 and a 750 it wont be 4.4. Very nice car. If I was a leader of an Asian Mafia gang and had gun I would drive that.
  14. Its the only one in NZ. I like rare things so I think I will buy that for the wifes E46. Was going to leave it 100% OEM but I think this will set off the tan interior nicely. \ Do people with Turbo's even use external BOV these days?
  15. haha it called being a car enthusiast.. Well done both parties
  16. Cheers Dan. Good info, you seem to be more clued up than the monkey that gave me the oil at ELF NZ. I get ELF from ELF NZ as they give it to me at cost seeing I have a race car with ELF on it. Oh and HSK Superoil 10w55 is rebranded Idemitsu Kosan oil, so is BLTZ and other tuner brands, after filling my car with it I can feel it has at-least 20 more horspowers
  17. No. But I always test out a new set of Semi Slicks and Clevdon has some great roads.
  18. I use the Excellium 10w50, not sure of the LL code. I know they do a Competition range but cant find much information on it and the smug sales guy seemed to think it was silly expensive for how much I use. I normally just buy it in a 20L container and change it out every 5,000km or so. I have wondered where you buy the top Castrol stuff and now I know, a 60 point is quite high, that must be the oil specific to the highly strung M engines.
  19. Would not have been an issue. I was running my dog past your driveway at half six this-morning Glenn, that hill is a bastard but a good challenge. Sorted now anyway but now have 20L of 5w30 that I cant use, I hope they will swap it

    Help me pick a ute!

Its easy to clock back Toyota's and the like compared to the more modern stuff. Quite a few Toyota Diesels only travel a 2000km in-between WOF's Hell I know of mobile auto sparky's who can alter even the modern diesels.
  21. Are they Irish? I thought they were pikeys, I hate f**king pikeys.
  22. I don't think 10% of the population wants full synthetic 10w50 competition grade oil.. maybe .10%. The actual reason they don't stock the top quality oil is because the companies they buy off don't offer it in their range and they are more interested in flogging of what ever brand makes them 200% marked up profit. Thanks for your help guys, I found some quality oil. HKS 10w55 from Redline performance in Mt Wellington who are open Saturdays.. and it was cheaper than the generic brand stuff you mention above Shame Botany Motor Worx is not open saturdays, I know they stock quality ELF products as specified for quality european vehicles. Best get back under the car
  23. There obviuoslly is a market as I need some for my race car and cant get any. I need a full synthetic oil and Repco etc dont offer one? Also, ELF 10w50 is cheaper than Mobil 1 and a much better oil.
