Cheers James will check it out. Any quality oil will do Motul, Total, Royal Purple.. I wonder why Repco or Supercheap dont have the good oil?
-
Drained my oil and went to refill and realised I had been given the wrong oil from the ELF agent.. so im in need of a high quality full synthetic 10w50, preferably a competition oil. Where to buy it on the weekend? I normally buy it from ELF but they are closed on the weekend. Thanks

Chick in the blue dress is lush.

1) they are Australian and the track is bullshit, both cars were tested on different track FFS, fly blown monkeys. 2) they are Australian. Does show how mighty the wizardry is getting in these new cars though, they defy the laws of physics with how they perform. More note worthy was the fact they drove the Hulme Super car on that same show.

Lol at the thought of seeing Jono in that Ram. You need a beard and a lumberjack body to pull one of those off properly. Would be ace for road rage though, I would permanently have 16 Japanese imports stuck under mine. Can’t say I could ever picture myself buying or wanting a ute and if I did it would have to be a Holden as they don’t drive half bad for a utility vehicle, do mean burnouts and make you look much cooler than you actually are.. only two seats though and no off roading plus they are a bit thirsty.

Good call, they should find the problem part. In the ten years we had ours we replaced every coolant system part twice... at-least you are not in Whakaf**ktigamio on a back road with no cell coverage. Been there. Done that. 4 up. unhappy campers.

Props to Gavin once again. I don’t know why anyone would buy new parts elsewhere and with his pricing im not sure why you would bother with second hand part. His service is inspirational, I wish I could deliver as quick to my customers. Mrs 328ci will be getting a bit of overdue attention on the weekend. A+++ Will trade again and again.

Mine just does it because its body is stiff and has FA in the back, even has stock suspension, When you jack the front the back lifts at the same rate, its handy when swapping wheels.

It looks about 80% finished. Cant wait to see the end result. Needs more diffuser.

I think the difference is, and im not a pro at all and expect to be corrected, but the series springs are non progressive and are always stiff... you can have a stiffer spring that is progressive macking it more compliant on the road. I ran them in my M325i and they were great 90% of the time but very annoying on anything sharp and rough at low speeds. My man breasts were a jiggling.

They look good. Fooled me, every Taxi in Thailand has them.

Talking about new BMW’s, cruising south bound this morning I was passed by a X1, X3, X5, 335d and a 5###, all brand new in Black with all the options and TMBMW plates, was quite an impressive convoy, made me feel very poverty stricken in my 1985 1.3 Corolla.

This? http://www.bmw.com.au/com/en/newvehicles/6...troduction.html Bar the M cars they are all just a bit... bland.

Nice sentiment there Glenn.

Don't like the paint job. in with the inevitable noob comment. Lets hope it has a few more things in common with the E30 that the model number designation... some originality for a start.

That’s great Idea. Do you know anyone with a Mazda Familiar GTX on 17" wheels Sam? Would be so keen to help if I was local.

In all circumstanced say nothing. A police officers job is to collect evidence to convict you when it goes to court, nothing more nothing less and anything you say can be used as a form of admittance or be used to portray guilt, for a police officer to take it to court he needs evidence, if you say nothing and give him nothing it makes it a lot harder come court time, if even it makes it there, your lawyer will destroy them. In your circumstance I would have just played stupid, sat there and looked bewildered whilst giving no defence. He can’t prove anything. As for caught speeding, I would say 80% of the time I have been pulled up for speeding they haven’t had any evidence suggesting I was.. First questing they normally ask is “how fast do you think you were going back there?†the reason they ask this is because they normally have no idea, if you say 120 you have just admitted to doing 120kph and they will ticket you for 115kph, if you say nothing they may let you off with a warning.

It only takes one cigarette to be addicted to Nicotine and it takes three weeks for it to get out of your system. It’s a bugger of a drug, since I have quite end of 09 I have been on a few benders and ended up buying a pack and one night of smoking can have me craving again for a couple of weeks. Easy way to quit smoking is the only way I have skills to control the addiction. http://allencarr.com/ I am disgusted by smokers now and won’t even travel in a car that stinks of smoke. Its foul and a big waist of money.. last time I got a pact it was $13 for 20.. only smoked one and gave the pack away.

Because anything you say can and will be used against you in court of law. Saying nothing pertaining to what you have been “supposedly†pulled over for is very smart.

Sweet. Good stuff mate.

I thought it was obvious it has something to do with time travel and a kick flip gone wrong on his back to the future hoverboard..

Sorry, yea I quoted that quite poorly, Im aware they are different, it was more in response to if he was to move to a multi link setup I could result in a few ideas gained. Either way I agree with E30-323TI that a OEM+ setup using easily replaceable parts would be a good move, going custom or using rare parts could and likely will have you going home early. Im glad my car has a simple rear suspension set up and is reliable and strong. Going all custom makes the car very hard to setup on the spot and if you need a quick replacement of an aftermarket part you may be sh*t out of luck.

This. I know of one E36 running at the pointier end of Targa that has bent a few rear ends and left the mechanics doing repairs with a sledge hammer in service and replacing the sub frame overnight... twice in one Targa. They are not very tough. I cant say too much about the set up in said E36, they have spent a long time and many Targa's getting it tough enough with enough travel but it may be worth poking your head under a few E36's on Targa to see what they have done to increase strength and lessen the fatigue rate, there are some key alterations to make the back end fast road friendly, you don't want something breaking at 185kph over a blind crest. As said it comes down to how hard you can push it with complete disregard for the vehicle, of course a $250,000 Nissan GTR and a bit of experience also helps

Problem is any decent thief can get lock nuts off rather quickly.. or they will just use the key in your glove box… I removed mine, was always miss placing the key and the nuts themselves are not very durable if you are taking the wheels on and off a lot.
