No sh*t. Its like when people tell you that what ever you are looking for is in the last place you will look. Nice car. not many 330i that well specked.
-
Lovely car. Good luck with the sale. Would love it.

What I call a problem and what you call a problem are probably two very different things mate! Was over exaggerating my point as to how ars that thing must drive. Race cars are not road cars nore race tracks anything like the road, run a race car with its track camber settings on the road and it will drive like crap... but you know this
-
I think you will find nothing is new until it has been discussed on Bimmersport. Lol my car goes hunts for road side like a drug dog does a smuggler even with a mere 1.5 degree camber. This thing must be crabbing diving and smashing all over the show. Oh and retract the Japanese culture thing, I do appreciate their food, wine and those women.

Mine blows cold in well under 30 seconds.

Looks smooth on the track and sounds great, what was your best time in it, it looks fast! Can you go to a R33 GTR Brembo set up with new pads and floating disks as an economical upgrade, I run a newer version of the GTR’s Brembo’s on my car and they are 330mm, car weighs circa 1,300kg and had no problems with brakes at track days or on Targa. Also, try Chris Petch at Autoquip Marketing in Penrose, they are New Zealand’s Brembo Performance dealers and you might be surprised at how economical there BIG brake kits are, much cheaper than you would imagine. Edit: R33.

Lost in translation. One of my favourite movies and shows why other cultures should take little from the Japanese… Leave em to it I say.

X3. E36 M3 Touring to OEM spec. Your family needs M3 power, teachers have reported students are 40% more attentive in class when driven to school with M power and wives have been known to say the day to day jobs that were once mundane become pleasant, even enjoyable with M power. Do it for the kids. Or sell it and go on holiday.

I would say once every 20,000km or once a year, as said just maintain properly and keep it waxed up. Being white it should be low maintenance. Black or dark cars need a bit more attention as mark recommends. 2c
-
Maybe only drive 95km, turn the car off. Reset the trip computer and keep driving
-
Lol. You call that, a wrecker calls it high performance coating.

Good one. On Targa tour, one thing I found hard on the longer stages was keeping my attention level up, I tell you after 20km and even at full noise up to 1**kph (what goes on tour) my mind started to wander… and some stages are over 50km at full attack… was a good prequel as we were doing some stages faster than main competitors in a stock road car. I will, was the GTR in the full event last year?? Spares you say. Yea I don’t even have a full sized spare wheel and can’t get one for my car in time, how’s that for prepared.
-
Will be my first motorsport event and I look forward to seeing a few of you, I know there were a shed load of BMW’s at the last Targa, maybe not members on here? Any tips or advice for a novice… other than don’t/do crash

Yea they are nice. You are paying for the lightness and sound deadening though. Most of NZ top rally drivers still only run $750-1000 helmets, the extra money is better spent on a light Hans device instead TBH, the extra weight is felt more on the device than it is in the helmet. Biggest issue I have had is finding what works best with what, my co-driver wants something completely different to me and every Stilo helmet in the range has a different intercom its quite frustrating, the Peltor is the most universal system and works with a lot of helmets
-
Throw a leather interior in it and a multi function wheel, NZ new plate holders and it would be a goer.
-
Looking at what helmet I need for Targa in March at the moment. For what’s it worth I have found the Stilo Trophy and intercom or Peltor and Peltor intercom to be best, Peltor is the most popular by far and probably what I will go for. Looking at 1,500 for 1x Helmet and corresponding intercom. Open face for rally. Given unlimited budget I would be going Stilo WRC, they are no safer than the Trophy, the double cost comes down to the weight, design and superior intercom system, the sound deadening in them great if you have a rowdy car.

Think it may have Xpoded when you cranked it to full.

Are the BMW’s in GT5 absolute sh*t or is it just me? They are just so boring. Has anyone got a E46 CSL yet? Im waiting for that to redeem BMW’s in the game. Tell you what needs to be had, the AMG SLS. Yea baby. I still think this game is bloody average after all these years….yet im drawn back to it for the occasional 120m session of ridiculously easy races and impossibly hard challenges. Only a complete Ninja could pass the Loab Rally School final Challenge with gold’s, I have one Silver and one bronze and the final race is just imposable.
-
Nice. Keen to come to some track days? Im keen to see how fast they actually go, apparently being short of the stig you will have trouble making go round a track as fast as a Clio RS or Megane RS. f**k they are hot though. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-338106271.htm

Recommended Wheel Alignment Shop, South AKL
Apex replied to rookie's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Race-line AKA Autoline Mt Wellington as recommended, have used them for a serious wheel alignment. Im in Papakura so use Kevin at J.R Tyres locally, he does a good job. -
P.S Who were you insured through, they sound really good and I would like to transfer to them, my insurance company wont insure my cars once its modified even though I have 7 policies with them.
