I believe a new project has been purcahsed??
-
Have you checked everything is done up? Are the strut tower nuts loose for example? Where are you located?
-
lol good call bro
-
I've also heard these top hats can catch inside the towers, safe as bro. Seen these posts on FB but have avoided saying anything...and yea you can buy them cheaper from a dozen oversea's vendors...
-
Yea I've had a look already, was about $90 for 10 Have found some now anyway Cheers guys
-
Depends on the threaded shank length? about 42mm from what I measured.
-
Anyone in NZ sell them? Shipping from oversea's cost more than double the item itself! Need to fit 15mm spacer, so 42mm shank length. The studs I have in at the moment aren't working out. Cheers,
-
Long shot I know, but just incase someone's got one tucked away they may want to part with??? Cheers,

DIY upgrade? As in cut the hoses and use normal hose clamps?
-
I put LED halo things in my old E36, way more staunch IMO...E39's are a similar age to the E36 - the look suits both shapes and draws a bit more attention? Hardwired so it works as parklights - like in the E39 or putting in an external switch is easy enough too The whole HID upgrade situation has been thrashed on this forum, searched?

Got some sway bar bushings a while ago, didn't notice I ordered for non M-Sport sway bars by accident...so they're no good to me. To fit front 22.5mm bar $20 Can post if need be Cheers,

I had a looka while ago and I'm sure pelican parts had then for US$30 or so each...
-
Can't remember if you had a pic in the other thread and can't be bothered finding it, but was there a picture of the ride height with those springs? Chur
-
Should paint the centers a colour that contrasts the gold so they stand out more...Even though it's been done to death Charcoal centers or a nice dark grey are common for a reason...It looks good!
-
Yeah I've got one at home, the problem is my E30 is not...Have taken the battery out and is on charge now though
-
Got the E39 intake back on without issue. Replaced the steering hose clamps to hopefully stop the fluid leaking. Replaced the steering rack boots and got 4 new tyres. Attempted to start the E30, battery completely dead.
-
I've got a decent one with brakcets still attached- $30 No key for the lock though.
-
lol nice write-up...Decent price too!
-
Just buy new, not too expensive... FYI those top-hats have been known to bind inside the strut tower when cornering due to the reduced height.
-
18x8 or 8.5? If its the 8.5 and you want to send to Auckland I wouldn't mind having a full sized spare?
-
Does anyone have e39 wheels to borrow for one week?
Lucan replied to sam726's topic in General Discussion
I've got a set of style 66's you can borrow...PM me -
I started removing bits of the intake in search of a water leak on the passenger side of the E39...Having never really worked an M54 engine before, I've got to say its a real PITA...

E39: Waited 1 hour for my new tyres to be fitted, eventually to be told they forgot to order them in, got a $180 discount and going back Monday instead. Also replaced steering rack boots, attempted to replace sway bar rubbers to find I have larger diameter sway bar...so gave up and gave it a clean. Anyone after some E39 22.5mm sway bar bushings - $40 for both
