I have one of these - https://www.bissell.co.nz/products/little-green-2067g its legit for car interiors. Made coffee out of many car seats.

If cops just sat in each town on a foggy morning and revoked the licenses of every pleb driving around without lights on we could probably meet emissions targets.

Quick shout out to FCPEuro, they arent always the cheapest (sometimes they are) but their service is nearly unbeatable. Back in December I ordered a new Mahle radiator for the 130i, for the impending engine swap (when I eventually get the time to do it!). I opened up the radiator box last month, found it had been bent in shipping. 6 months after I bought it and the damage had been done. Emailed FCPEuro and explained what had happened, they said sweet as sh*t happens - send it back and will sort it. I said, it's not going to be cheap to send a radiator from New Zealand to the US.. their response was sweet as we got the shipping costs. So I ordered a new Mahle radiator and they had stock issues, so got sent a brand new genuine BMW one. Legends. (Also finally got hold of a SMF Valeo clutch kit)

Manual 123d NZ New E87 on faceballs and tardme, cool, rare car. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/cars/bmw/listing/3698980912?

Agreed, had the same and I had to threaten them with court action as a teenager they backed off and paid up, but now Im black listed by state, no loss Ill call AA Monday and get some quotes and agreed values sorted.
-
Anyone use AA? Any thoughts on them? They look to have pretty decent customer satisfaction reports from consumer NZ. Im currently with AMI, who have made a complete and utter f**king mess of recent claim on house and are not digging up. Looking to change insurer (2 cars, house/contents, business with 1 car)

Even at 8k it'd likely be the cheapest manual 130 in the world.

Ive been wiping permetex black sealant on the oil filter housing gaskets, just a smear over the whole gasket before install, havent had one leak again yet (ones got nearly 100,000km on it and still dry), which seems to be better than how they perform when installed dry.

Is that a big paint loogy above the LH front indicator, or is the front of the guard bent.

Anyone want to talk me into/out of a 135i?
Jacko replied to Glacial Pace's topic in General Discussion
Have you seen the state of NZ roads? If its a track car, year for sure a 135 is going to be wicked faster in a straight line, however in the real world ya just cant use a million BHP on the road without ending up in a ditch. 99% of the time you'll never be able to use the power, but your still paying the maintenance etc etc.... I totally get it, 135i's are cool (1Ms are way cooler though...) but we live in the real world. I drive my 130 pretty hard, down some of NZs maddest B roads, and the smiles it generates as you slot through the gears, being able to use the power it has... hard to beat for the price (for any brand of vehicle - a rear wheel drive hatchback with a manual gearbox option and arguably one of the best NA 6 cylinders ever made - There aren't many competitors). Also, I like driving my car rather than having penis size competitions on dyno numbers. -
Whats next, M3s V8s if you pay a subscription. But, 4 cylinders deactivate, the arches collapse and a 320 badge appears on the back when your CC details lapse... Late stage capitalism....

I hope they sell exactly none of it and the people who buy new BMWs laugh in their faces... but they wont. Worlds going crazy.

Can we put a hardline on when BMW stopped being BMW? When did the ultimate driving machine etc die exactly? early 2010s?

Seat belts no longer available. 😕

"Once a vehicle is 14 years old, components of the frontal impact protection system can be removed, provided that the seatbelts for any affected seating positions are replaced with brand new seatbelts." https://www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/infosheets/LVVTA_Info_01-2020_Removal_of_Front_Seats_Fitted_with_Side_Airbags.pdf

LVVTA standard - New belts.
-
Having to drop $900 on two new front seatbelts to meet LVVTA standards with aftermarket seats, to replace your perfect condition existing seatbelts which are exactly the fekcen same.
